I purchased a beautiful set of power leather recliners/theatre seats years ago after a remodel. One of chairs stopped working right after the one year warranty was up. The only repair shop I could find wanted to charge a huge fee just to look it - but I went ahead and scheduled an appointment be size I didn't know what else to do. By happenstance I had schedulibg issues and had to cancel and never got around to rescheduling due to the high fee to just to ook at the chair. For years that chair has been the remote holder/junk keeper as it was not good for much else. I discovered that even though I purchased these chairs from a well established quality furniture store for serious $ - they were no-name chairs with no name electronics made in China. I didn't think I had any good options. Then I stumbled into this while some retail therapy/Amazon window shopping for something else. Holy Smokes what a find! Did a !little education at the University of YouTube and discovered that a design flaw many manufacturers used caused the wires to be pinched/smashed when you sit down and springs flex and the switches stopped working as a result. I also discovered that even the name brands for the most part are using the same made in China electronics. I flipped my chair over & did a quick diagnoses of the connections and realized that was likely my problem & ordered this. I figured it was worth the risk at this price and ordered it. The part arrived quickly especially considering the Covid 19 timing. Took less than 5 minutes to replace the bad switch for this chair including identifying a new route to run the wire to avoid the pinch and securing it. Bam! I just like that the long dormant chair is fully functional. AND with the added bonus upgrade of the USB charger. My only regret is not finding this sooner!

These were 100% what we were looking for. We found a couch and loveseat we loved made by HomeStretch and it checked every single box except it has no charging USB ports. Mind boggling to me that a $1500 power sofa now wouldn't include a USB but we figured we could add some on our own. Wasn't stoked about doing so but figured it was possible. After looking over options which included having to cut holes in the center of the loveseat console and/or rectangle boxes on the side of the couches, I stumbled across these. Not only are they a direct fit into the holes of the original controls, but as an added bonus you don't have to run extra wires for the USB power and the connections are direct plug-ins to the motor controllers. The screw holes didn't quite line up with the odd screw pattern on the original control ring but driving new screws in was no problem at all. If I'm being very critical of these units I'll say they I do wish that you could unplug or at very least turn off the ostentatious blue neon lights. They don't go with our theme very well but being one of the only options we've seen for a direct shoe-in with USB, we didn't feel we were in the position to complain. A great product with no real complaints thus far. I've read some reviews about others having issues with DOA USB ports and I can say that we ordered 4 of these and all work perfectly.

In the picture is my old one. My recliners have 2 one on each side. Seems like if 1 of them goes out they both go out. I was able to test both sides by plugging the new one on one side paired with the old one the test which side went out. Only 1 switch needed replacing for me and now it works like new. The old used 4 screws and the new one uses 3 screws. No biggie.

I bought a chair AND $100 protection plan from Bobs discount furniture and had one side of my couch stop working. I assumed since I bought the 5 year warrantee that it would be covered. guardian insurance is the biggest scam on the planet, I called and told them it died randomly one day(the truth) because it was not an accident it wasn’t covered according to them. My gf then called the guardian hotline and waited on the phone 2 hours before finally hanging up. I then submitted another claim saying that soda was spilled on the couch that broke the chair, which was denied because spills aren’t covered. I then went to the brick and mortar and talked to a manager who had a tech come out to “fix the problem”. Well the tech was really nice but didn’t have the part so it needed to be ordered. He then used my phone to call the bobs tech support line and submitted an order for a new button, which according to him was covered. The woman on the phone also said it was going to be covered, but I had to simply “text my address” to yet ANOTHER bobs work line. Why would I need to talk to yet another bobs worker to order a part? Well it was obviously so the third person could then tell me via text that the button is not in fact covered and they I had to pay $50 + S&H. So I was intentionally thrown through a loop of people and by the time the tech was gone I was then told that I had to pay, after spending hours trying to get the coverage I bought for the barely over 1 year old couch. I refused to pay for something I already paid $100 in ins for but was then denied, so I looked online. Found this replacement and decided to try it. It took less than 5 minutes to remove the old button and put in the new replacement. 5 Minutes vs HOURS of tech support calls trying to fight for coverage when I had already paid for it. I will never buy a protection plan from a store again it was a terrible experience. Bobs discount furniture treats there customers terribly and gouges them every step of the way. Thank you for giving me the option to fix this myself instead of paying $50 for the same exact item. Would buy again. Wouldn’t recommend bobs to anyone. Thanks!
