  • Valuable Content Within!
Format: Kindle
Nathan McKenzie, the author of "From Idea To Launch" provides a wealth of information. Nathan McKenzie's style of writing is humorous at the beginning. He provides many valuable tips for anyone interested in inventing. The part about someone who considers themselves as an innovator never really goes away. There is always that longing to discover something new if the moment is opportune. Not only because of the possibility to generate wealth from an idea but the satisfaction of making a difference in the world. Typically if an idea changes the world for better; advances in the way of living, an idea can be very lucrative for someone. I personally know someone who had a great idea years ago. I wanted to help him. Giving him this book as a gift would probably be the best gift anyone could have given him back then. Having reading this book and then guiding him through the "From Idea To Launch" process could have been the smartest thing I could have ever done in my life. Some of the things Nathan McKenzie discusses are techniques and strategies to use. This information is freely available on the internet. But researching the correct information can be time-consuming and even inaccurate while doing independent research. Some of the things I really liked about "From Idea To Launch" are the amounts of resources available for the readers. Not only resources but guidance are provided to new inventors, innovators, curious and creative minds alike. Information in the book is not only for inventors. Marketing and business savvy minds can benefit from reading this book as well. Nathan McKenzie is touching on topics like benefits of patents and missed opportunities from not having patents as the subject, factories, questions to ask yourself, before and after you launch your business based on your idea. You can also revisit this book as a reference all throughout the process of your idea to production. Anyone reading this book seeking information on an idea to launch and the process of doing it the right way or someone whoever had an idea to invent something or someone who became discouraged because of the missed opportunity from the lack of knowledge, you may find new hopes by reading this book. ... show more

  • Good for Beginning Entrepeneurs/Inventors
Format: Kindle
This book was extremely in-depth. I have witnessed many entrepreneurs failing on the very first step, by walking into a bloated market, having ideas that fail to address a problem or looking a problem that really isn't a problem at all. The book addresses how to come up with an idea through finding a problem and finding potential solutions to that problem, a process that takes many tries and potential failures. I appreciate the fact that this book helps readers interested in invention through small steps - for example, finding just five problems at first. This small but concrete number provides readers a way to start the invention process that isn't intimidating, as starting is sometimes the hardest part. The book provides various exercises for readers to do, and the book offers important questions for readers to take into consideration as they make their own product. It ties relatable real life examples to the issue at hand, which effectively allows readers to connect to what is being said. The book also offers necessary technical knowledge such as product disparity, pricing, and competition. It is very detailed and goes deep into the process of making the prototype and marketing it. It discusses how best to get a patent, the finances of the whole process, what a trademark is, what a copyright is, what the legality and laws surrounding inventions are, how to find a factory, and it provides an excellent step-by-step instruction on how to get constructive feedback and adapt to this feedback. It looks at investors and funding, establishing a brand and a brand identity, and internet marketing. This book's strength is how it addresses both conceptual and abstract concepts (creativity, shaping an idea, etc), as well as the important technical knowledge (finances, copyrights, factories, companies). Another big strength of this book is how clear it is that the author has experience in the subject matter; the amount of detail makes that obvious. All-in-all, if you are someone who is interested in starting the pursuit of invention, this book would absolutely be a beneficial tool in your toolbox. ... show more

  • Informative!
Format: Kindle
'From Idea to Launch' is great for entrepreneurs looking to start their own business with a product or invention they have or in the process of creating themselves. There's actually some pretty useful tips and tricks that can be used to help gather the material needed for a potentially successful side hustle. It demonstrates how to bring a product to 'life' so to speak, brainstorming creative ways to think of an idea (moreso product) that sells, decent exercises to help motivate anyone in a possible business venture and it's basically a how to on how to bring your product out to the public. Rather it's selling candles, wooden fixtures, clothing or even books (I'm talking to you indie authors!). Some, definitely not all, portions of the read may be suitable for what you're trying to produce and even if it may not seem like it, there's a bit of something that could be applied to the merchandise field being marketed. This read is more directed towards those who have an invention in mind but like I said, there are definitely things you can take away from this and it's a short read, so what harm can it cause? And I'm not going to lie, I was a bit of a spectacle when picking up this book after being referred to by a colleague. I didn't expect to find anything useful with this but I was pleasantly surprised that I'm able to take some tidbits out to help me brainstorm ideas for a future Etsy store I had in mind. Cause I mean, who wouldn't want to make some extra cash? Especially with this crazy pandemic going around. So keep in mind, this is something worth looking into. ... show more

  • What every inventor needs to know:
Format: Kindle
“From Idea to Launch: Take your Great Idea to Profitable Reality - Sell your New Invention, Innovation, Brand, Product, Service & Business Ideas -Think it, Make it, Launch it, Sell it & Profit from it” is a wonderful how-to book by author Nathan McKenzie. The book details so many things that you need to know if you are an inventor/creator who wants to share his/her idea with the world. You have this wonderful idea that would solve one of life’s little (or large) problems, but you have no idea how to make that idea become a reality. This book will tell you what to do, step by step, from the brainstorming necessary to improve your idea and make it into something real, to building parameters around the product to make it reliable and profitable to produce, to everything necessary to do to get your invention to market. I believe this book is a must-have for inventors and people who have always thought they have something worth contributing to the world but have not acted upon that thought. I’m happy with the book and would get it again. ... show more

  • Simplifies what can be a complex process
Format: Kindle
Most of us have a lot of ideas swirling in our heads and struggle with trying to get them to land past an idea and into something tangible. This book helps put those ideas into place by offering an organized way of proceeding with the process. Whether you have a new invention that just popped into your head or a concept for a new product that you have thought way too long about, this book can help take it from concept to reality. Plus, it covers how to market the product once you have it ready-to-go. This book is easy to follow and is presented in an organized fashion. It also covers ways to protect your idea with patents, trademarks, and copyrights—the key to keeping your idea your idea and not someone else’s. There are also sections on how to manufacture your product, how to find investors, and how to create an image, or brand, for your idea. Social media, today’s marketing tool, is also covered in detail. I have a few people I know that could use this book as it’s presented so clearly. ... show more

  • Good book
Format: Kindle
Found this "From Idea to Launch" book to be a very valuable tool especially for folks that are needing a guided path to bring their product or service ideas to light. Most of us have ideas and visions about a product or even a service that we think would do really well if we can bring that idea into reality, well this is the book that will help you do just that. But I will warn that just reading this book won't take you all the way to finish line, in other words, no book can, it will take some more leg work, research, phone calls and a little bit of know-how to get you going, but books like this are always helpful to guide you through your journey. If you are serious, I would read at least two more books preferably one that is in your niche, and then summarize all three books into an action plan and get to work ... show more

Many of us have so many business ideas, some are great and some are not, but not many of us know the way to get a great idea into a profitable business. In this From Idea to Launch book the author targets those of us that have the idea for a venture but don't know how to make that idea into a reality. He takes you through a step by step process that takes an idea and makes that a reality. Is this the only book you need to get started, no, but it gives you a clear direction and path forward.
