I purchased these for wet wading to keep the sand & especially the small gravel out of my wading shoes. The quality is great & they are comfortable to be on the river for hours. They are approximately 9-10 inches high & the gator covers a 3/4 hiking boot that I personally use. I have a wide foot and these neoprene booties easily fit well in my boot 🥾 that I wear. I ordered a pair that came with holes in the seams, and then returned to get a second pair. The second pair had the seams starting to burst and forming holes straight out of the box. The quality was not good and I never got to wear them on the river.

Fit pretty tight, but that's what you want – too big and they rub around in your boot causing unnecessary wear on you and. your geat. I would recommend to anyone looking for a thin, warm water bootie.

I bought these for wet wading with my Simms wader boots. When I first opened the box, I could tell they were thinner than the advertised 3.5mm thick neoprene. I measured with a digital caliper, and they are actually only 2.5mm, so will be loose in wader boots sized for 3-4mm socks (my full-length waders have 3.5mm socks). While they are narrow at the top, so will be good for keeping out debris, they do not widen at the base. This is a problem for wader boots. I found the back hiking up to the top of the boot just walking a few steps around the house, so know I'll be getting silt and gravel in my heel in a stream. If you have a wider boot, it also stresses the fragile stitching down the edge (see pic). So at this price point, it's a good value if you have the footwear compatible with these, like sandals or smaller shoes. I don't recommend for the stout wader boots. ... show more

    • Fit well and worked great
My first time fly fishing and went to Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. Water was pretty cold. These fit my feet well, seemed true to size for my size 12 foot. My feet stayed warm even after hours of standing in pretty cold water.

I think the product works well to keep dry and somewat insulated, however. I use this with water shoes and found found the upper part to tear and leave a hole after only 1 time use. I didn't do anything crazy except walk in some water.
