  • Excellent for any Fan
This game has been out for a while in other consoles and PC. It's a solid game, with varied mechanics to survive or to kill other players if you get to be Jason. It's still has some bugs but nothing important. On switch it has a very important graphical downgrade so be aware that some of the kills will lose some of its flare but it's still enjoyable. Now the big question. Will it stand the pass of time? Well it depends. If you're a fan of the Friday the 13th franchise, then yes it will. The multiplayer is fun and the offline options will keep you playing when others abandon the game. But if you aren't a fan of the franchise I'd say this game is DEFINETLY A PASS. The joy of the game is to immerse yourself in the ambience of the movies and see Jason do his thing, being able to replicate the movies (challenges are specially fun for this) is a blast. Other than that non fans won't find anything interesting to stick around ... show more

  • He's back! The man behind the mask!
First off, I'm going to address about the FPS issue with this game versus it's PS4/XBOX One/PC Ports. I never cared about the frame rates in this game, because it is a glitch fest. I owned the PS4 version of this game prior to Switch version, and despite having the superior frame rate to the Switch, even the PS4 suffered glitches. I didn't care about the characters having "yarn hair", as long as the game was playable, and it is...for the most part. Despite the game having a lower graphic resolution, it's still a good game in my opinion, with a few minor issues. The first issue that I have, is that there are times when waiting for a match that my character selection will randomly change, or when I play the match, I won't get the character I selected: Example: I play goth girl, but I'll end up with the Chad character even though I never choose him. And of course glitch shenanigans will happen in the game such as my character floating over a car, I'll be Jason and grab onto someone for an eternity before the person breaks free or I kill them, etc. One nice thing I will say about this version of the game, is that it doesn't crash as often as the PS4 version. I thoroughly enjoy this game and love hearing the people talk sh@t online. It's a game I don't regret buying a second time. ... show more

  • Fun and scary
So happy this became available for the Nintendo Switch!!!! It's got great music, and the setting and the Jason changes frequently. You hear when other people are getting attacked/murdered, so you never know where Jason is. In one game I was able to radio Tommy Jarvis but died before he arrived. I've been attached by burlapsack Jason, zombie unmasked/atomic waste Jason and of course hockey masked Jason. Once you die, you can watch the remaining players fight it out. The more stuff you do and the more times you okay the better the chances are of you surviving the next game. I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • A little different than other platforms
I think the main reason it is hard to find a match on this platform is that you cannot create parties for friends. Instead, you join your own personal online match and then your friend can follow you through a “Join Friends” menu option. This is very frustrating because it feels like you can never find a lobby if everyone joins their very own. On another note, the graphics for F13 aren’t that great—graphics are never an issue for me—but somehow they look far worse than they usually are on other platforms. The controls are very wonky. I tried to drive the car and the entire screen was shaking with every movement I made; I don’t have any problems on other devices. Also, the game is somehow even buggier than ever (no surprise since that’s the fun of Friday the 13th). Overall, it’s nice to now have the game on every platform since it is one of my favorites. ... show more
