I will say, these have a slight bean flavor to them. I haven't eaten bacon in over 20 years so I wouldn't recognize an actual bacon flavor anyway. I love adding these to taco salad for a bit of extra crunch. Great on mashed potatoes too.

I have put some terrible things in my mouth through the years, but these Bacon flavored bits just earned the top honor! I tried a few out of the bag and told myself not to do that ever, ever again. But being that I am sensible and anti-food waste, I figured I should try them with their intended purpose. I made a giant salad and I sprinkled these bits onto it and tossed them in. It was like I swept up the leaves under my crape myrtle and soaked them in liquid smoke, dried them again and then called them bacon flavored bits. Yay.
