to start, I have the 10'6" kayak for a solo paddler. I've set up inflatables before or I would not have known to check for some things not mentioned in the limited manual. the pump is way too short to be easy to use. It's not hard to pump up to 7 psi with a hand pump but this one makes it hard due to having to bend over so far. I used a pump that is twice as tall and that was much better. However, for old ladies like myself, I would say get an electric pump, that you can set to 5-7 psi and turns off automatically. save your energy for paddling. Also on the 1st setup, the floor did not fit in flat. the problem I discovered was that the floor was not positioned in the boat correctly. I moved it forward a bit so that the valves are all aligned and the cutout sections are over the scupper holes. and wonder of wonders, no more slanted floor. This should be in the manual, as the floor panel shifts when rolled up. the seat I like, but I hate the straps. However, I don't think that seat is going anywhere at it fits in the boat snuggly. Just the back of the seat needs the straps to keep it in a comfortable position. I might try a different seat & need to add a boat cushion for some height. I do like the zipper on the seat to give it shape. the skeg requires a good push to get it back so the clip can lock it in. Maybe a little bit of water would aid in sliding it more easily. I always like to set up the inflatable 1st at home to figure out the best and right way. and I leave it inflated for at least 24 hours to check for any leaks. it seems like it will be rugged enough, and quick and easy with an electric pump. It's light enough for solo carry. there also seems to be lots of room for baggage. the paddles are too short for a boat that is 36" wide. I have ordered a paddle that is 90" long based on the chart for kayak paddles that take height and boat width into consideration. I'm 5'7". It is too darn hot where I live --100 deg--- and baking sun. so I haven't taken it out on the water yet. I gave it 4 stars until I took it out paddling. The 4 stars are for lack of better setup instructions, the too-short hand pump, the too-short paddle, and the seat straps. I wish there had been a lower price option for no pump and no paddles. ... show more

Returning item because of defective pump gauge and one of the valves. Usually returns are fast with Amazon…not so with this. No communication on receipt of return and just spoke with customer service and told it could take two to four weeks for refund. Very disappointed!

The pictures in the description and other reviews show and mention the self bailing feature, mine does not have this. Emailed the company and received a response that someone else will be in touch, but they have not and now my return window is closed. Horrible customer service. Other than that this kayak is built with similar materials and in similar fashion to much more expensive models and should hold up for a while. I’ll add more d rings and a “skid layer” of similar pvc to the bottom for those shallow river areas. The seat sucks too, ok for kids under 10. And the paddles are flexible and about useless. ... show more

I love this kayak! It's fantastic..sturdy..easy to handle. My daughter said to me...great purchase..this is phenomenal!! I'm going to modify a bit...add some paddle clips..this has none...but easy fix! The pump it comes with pumps up faster than the electric pump.

What an amazing quality kayak for the price! So much better when the bottom is the stiff closed thread inflatable like a paddleboard. The floor floats a couple inches off the water allow self bailing along the sides keeping you out of water. The vinyl is very thick quality. I did a lot of searching and these are priced 2 to 4 times less than the competition for the same quality. ... show more

I'm struggling to understand how this is getting such good reviews. Initially I was impressed. It is very durable, was easy to inflate, and easy to deflate and return to the storage bag. But then I actually used it Problem #1: The floor piece inflated leaning to one side. I deflated and re-inflated and could not adjust it in any way to get it level. Problem 2: The seat is all but useless. It may as well not even exist. It provides no support so made the ride uncomfortable. Problem 3: No foot rest, and no apparent way to add one. This made the lack of a meaningful seat even worse. (Accompanying pic is one of about a dozen positions I tried putting my legs in to get them comfortable, to no avail.) Between problems 2 & 3, I was so uncomfortable and sore that I was rowing back to shore within minutes to switch to a different boat. Problem 4: This one was more of a nuisance, but the oar is just a little bit too short. Problem 5: It seems just about impossible to travel in a straight line. It zigs and zags sharply with each row. I tried it with the fin in and with the fin removed and saw no difference in the result. I have not had this problem with any other kayak. I am 6'2" so I thought these problems might be my height. But I traded boats with a guy half a foot shorter than me and he experienced all of the same issues. Problem 6: While the boat itself is extremely durable, the storage bag is not. It ripped in two places the very first time I put the boat in it, and that was before I had even added any of the rigid components to the bag. I'm going to go ahead and keep this as a boat the kids can play with, but I found it absolutely unusable for an adult wanting to actually go anywhere with it. ... show more
