ORIGINAL REVIEW Summer 2017: This stuff works! Blocks nasty sweat smells the first day and every day. Took 7-10 days to adjust. After a month of consistent use, I sweat less. I will never go back to aluminum based anti perspirants again. UPDATE 12/2017: After 4 months of using, I truly love this deodorant. It has over time reduced how much I sweat, it keeps me from smelling when I do sweat, it doesn’t make yellow stains in the arm pits of my shirts, and it doesn’t pollute my body with poisonous aluminum and other chemicals. The peach frankincense scent smells great. UPDATE 1/2019: Sometimes I get a little irritated from the baking soda and high pH of this product. When that happens I use Native for a day or two (pear scent). Native has less baking soda which helps get the irritation to go away, but it doesn’t pack the same odor preventing punch as Freedom. I also tried Schmidt’s. It has stronger scent and the product is more creamy, smoothing on easier. Again, the odor prevention just isn’t there. Freedom allows me to sweat when my body needs that to cool me down, and prevents bad odors from developing, has reduced how much I sweat by letting my sweat glands detox. Barely sweat and when I do, it evaporates within minutes. I honestly sweated more when wearing antiperspirant.

When I originally tried the switch, I tried Schmidt. Smells amazing and worked amazing - except for the baking soda! Ouch! I got there great rash under my armpit. Their non baking soda one just don’t work quite the same. Tried Lume - smelled amazing for the first bit. However - the next day I would feel worse than I ever had. I tried to stick with it, cleaned the armpits of my shirts, all the advice but it just never did it right for me. (Except for all other places that are pits. Then it was amazing for those.) Freedom came up and I thought why not. Omg - it’s amazing! No extra stink next day! Just make sure it spreads well if you have armpit hair, haha. But seriously it worked as well (maybe better?) than my old aluminum deodorant. I am a fan for sure. Everyone’s body is different. So some might have great results with Schmidt and lume. If not definitely give freedom a try!

I bought the peach scent and on the second day had a reaction. My underarms started to get red and hot. I discontinued use. It could have been an allergy to the baking soda. I know three other people that use this regular version of Freedom deodorant with no bad underarm reaction. They love the product. Aside from the reaction, the product was nice and I didn’t have any bad odor at all. It went on smooth and packaging was nice. I reached out to Freedom and they got back to me right away. Very nice people that care about their consumers. They are sending me a replacement free of charge for sensitive skin (baking soda free). I am very pleased with the customer service and can’t wait to try the sensitive version without baking soda. EDIT: So the company sent me a new deodorant but it wasn’t the one they said they were originally going to send. The woman specifically mentioned she believed (but wasn’t sure) I had an allergy to the baking soda and would send me the roll on baking soda free deodorant. Well, they sent me the sensitive version of this, which still has baking soda in it. I think this is a pretty big deal if I potentially have an allergy to an ingredient. . I reached back out to the company with no response. The reaction I had the first time was enough. I wish I could return this.

I really like the scent of this deodorant. I love that it's aluminum free. The scent doesn't last long on me and I have to reapply it, but other than that I like it.

This natural deoderant is one of the best smelling deoderants on the market. It's a little tough to apply, but a second or two with skin contact softened it up. One of my biggest complaints with most aluminum free deoderants is that they don't last an entire day. This deoderant not only lasted through the day, but the entire next day. I LOVED IT. That is, until I developed pit irritation from the baking soda. So, if you usually develop irritation from all natural deoderants, this one will be no exception. 😩 So, overall, this deoderant smells great, is effective, and lasts BUT, if you have a baking soda sensitivity, avoid this particular stick.

This is the only product I can use without skin irritation but literally half the time the order it arrives melted. Seller offerer no real solutions to the problem. Their best pitch was for me to get a PO Box!

I have been trying to cut out products that might give me cancer (every little bit helps right?) & deodorant is on the list! It's been challenging to find a natural deodorant without aluminum and I've tried a few different brands. Some seem really sticky like there's a lot of glycerin as the base, I tried a liquid roll-on one that actually just made me sweat more (but it at least smelled pleasant!), and another one which my body just laughed at and I even offended myself at the end of the day with how I smelled. THIS ONE however, I've been really happy with. The texture is a bit soft, but it's seems ok. I bought the peaches one & it's a nice light scent, I don't really smell it throughout the day so it's not strong & you don't need to worry about smelling like a peach cobbler or something when it gets hot. It doesn't leave a residue on my clothes too which is also a plus. Overall seems like a win!
