I bought these to go out in fields with while hiking or hunting. The sides are a mesh or nylon. Sticks stickers and burs poked through and into my feet. Other than that they are comfortable.

Theese boot look nice but comfort wise are more like old Converse with slightly thicker soles. Not comfortable if your on your feet for long period of time.

I bought these boots for work. I spend a lot of time climbing ladders, scaffolding, etc and needed something light, but durable and these fit the bill, so far. They fit as expected and have good support, my dogs don't bark after eight hours on 'em. Took off one star because the bootstraps are ridiculously small and I can't get my finger in them to pull the boots on and have to use a shoehorn. (Somebody should fix that, it's a big con).
