Bought a set of these for Christmas 2017. By March 2018 all 6 balls were extremely lopsided and useless for any game that requires a straight bounce. My kids love playing wall ball and these balls couldn't even handle that after gentle usage after a month. Thinking this may have been a one time defect I bought a second set in March 2018. Same exact story, did one ball at a time to try and make them last longer. Every last one of them cracked and leaked air within a couple weeks. These were bought at the beginning of spring so they were not exposed to extreme cold or hot temperatures either. You can’t patch them because they are textured. Such a waste of money.

Our grand kids love balls—all shapes and varieties. As they grow, so do ball sizes. The Franklin playground ball is the biggest in our collection, but its large size doesn’t deter the two and three year old kids from playing with it too. The ball is light enough for them to toss around, and bouncy enough for the older kids to play four square. We’ve bought balls online before, and some came deflated. This one came inflated and needed no adjustments—it was immediately ready for play, and hasn’t needed air since. Overall, this is a great ball for general play. I’ve included pictures showing exactly how big this ball is (8 ½” diameter) and where it fits into the ball size category. The smallest ball in the photo is size 2, then 3…all the way up to standard basketball size. The other picture shows a close-up of its nice texture—the kids find this ball easier to hold than dimpled ones. ... show more

Update: DIDN’T last 2 months. There are small fissures everywhere in these where it appears that they’ve cracked. All but 1 have had to be thrown out. Sadly, didn’t live up to the initial impressiveness. These are great! Colors are nice and bright, rubber is super sturdy feeling. They were a breeze to inflate and are holding up well even after a few months. The fact that they come and such a large set and with a bag makes them well worth the price-which is extremely reasonable. My kids jump around with these in their trampoline and HAVE A BALL WITH THEM! (Pun intended 😂) ... show more

I took these to a orphanage and pumped them up there, actually a kid pumped them up, so obviously easy to do. I threw away the pump that came with them because it looked like it came out of a gum ball machine. (It may have lasted to blow up all the balls, but I needed a reliable one to be used over and over.) The balls are great quality, they are the same size, are totally round, feel thick and durable and bounce well. The grip is nice on them too. The mesh bag was surprisingly of good quality and a good way to keep the balls in one place. The kids LOVED them and when they were out they were always in high demand. ... show more

Less than 3 months old and several are already beginning to come apart. My kids are indoor computer gamers and rarely even go outside much less play with these on a regular basis. They get their fair share, don't get me wrong, but not nearly enough to justify the degradation and wear showing in this set of balls. Though I would not buy again, I am giving 3 stars because when the children DO play with these they have an absolute ball (pun intended).. ... show more

I bought 2 sets of 6 playground balls. I thought the price was great! Probably too good to be true... because I ended up having to return both sets. When they arrived my children tried to use the pumps they came with to fill them up with air. However, both pumps were missing the ball needle. Luckily, I had a pack so it wasn’t that big of deal. Once filled up, my children loved them! They were mainly using them for wall ball and four square. The one problem was they didn’t stay inflated. Some would last longer than others but none stayed inflated longer than a couple days. If you don’t mind using the pump quite often, they wouldn’t be a bad buy. The colors are vibrant and they were easy to inflate - we did use a larger hand pump that we already had so I can't attest to the one that came with the balls. Unfortunately we have gone through two of them already but it isn't any fault of the ball. Turns out wire rods are not meant to have a ball come smacking on them. Also not a good idea to have an adult kick as hard as they can trying to kick over the trees. Branches are not a good thing for balls either. We are enjoying hours of fun with these and I highly recommend them. ... show more
