I bought these for a church ministry. My friend was a youth pastor and I would help him out during all-nighters. These balls are ok. I’ve used other similar balls and these are probably my least favorite. They’re still ok, but I do have a couple issues with them. First, these balls are a little harder than the other ones I’ve used. I bought them for a youth group and I’m worried that these may sting a bit more than the ones that we’ve used before. Not as much give as some of the other ones out there. However, I probably would have still given them 3 or 4 stars. It’s the second issue that really bugs me the most. The balls that were sent are not as pictured. This is a pet peeve of mine. Sellers: it is not that hard to make sure the product you’re selling actually matches the pictures you’re displaying. If you update your product, update your pictures! Failure to do so is lazy, bad business, and false advertising. This may not be as big of a deal to others but like I said, this is a hot spot to me. First off, the description says 8” balls. The sticker on the balls specifically says 8.25”. These are not 8.25”. These are 8”. So don’t put 8.25” on the ball. This is an issue because the official rules of dodgeball state that the ball must be 8.25”. These balls are slightly smaller. Even more annoying however is the complete logo change. The pictures show a nice logo that looks as if it is possibly screen printed on the ball. However the balls that actually get shipped have a super cheesy, cheap paper sticker that looks like an old ‘80’s “iron on” artwork. I attached a picture. It looks terrible and feels even worse. It is literally paper that seems as if it would peel off working the first 5 minutes of play. If you don’t care about a paper sticker logo, then by all means, buy these balls. But until the vendor actually updates their product photos to show the product they’re actually selling, I can’t recommend them. ... show more

These are expensive, but they are worth the purchase. We've played at least 20 games of dodgeball so far with two sets of these balls. They still look brand new and we played the games outside. I would definitely buy these again and recommend them to anyone looking for a lasting set of dodgeball balls. Also, these are great with little kids. We've had NO TEARS so far and we've had people playing from 3 to 50. ... show more

This is the second time we have purchased the Champion Rhino Skin Dodgeballs for our Bible Day Camp recreation. We have at least 200 children that attend each year, and their favorite game to play is "Out Ball", a type of dodgeball. These balls work so much better than the old Nerf type balls we used to use, which eventually began to fall apart and were often too hard once the foam dried up. They may cost more, but are well worth it as they are softer and last longer due to the tough "skin" that surrounds the foam core. We also liked that we had different sizes to choose from. This smaller 6" ball that comes in a set of 6, works perfectly for not just dodgeball, but for many other games. ... show more

I love these. I've ordered them from Rhino before. These may be from rhino, but they aren't nearly as durable as the ones I've had previously. I've used them approximately 24 times and 2 already have ripped covers. Granted, we're not gentle with them, and it may have caught on something without my knowing. That aside, the covers are not as sturdy as the older set I still have. But for dodgeball, they're perfect because they don't hurt! (Okay, still stings if you get it in the face.) ... show more

The price seemed a bit steep at first, compared to other balls of the same size, but they're really good quality and perfect for dodge ball. (It was about $60 for set of 6.) They are extremely light and so do not hurt when they hit you. My son and his friends have played with them every day since they arrived at our home. The weather hasn't allowed them to play outside yet, so they play indoors. The balls are so light they don't damage anything inside. Very colorful too. (Bonus: our 2 cats don't appear interested in them--they're too big for cats to play with.) If I need more I will buy them. ... show more

These do not last long. The skin rips easy and the foam seems to break down quickly. I have only had these for less than half a school year and use them with K-6 students. I would recommend the go sports brand ball. I bought them at the same time and they all look brand new.

You might think these balls are a little pricey but let me tell you they are worth it. Imagine smacking someone in the face with one of these suckers... AND IT DOESN'T HURT. Go ahead, get right up to your grandma and smack her in the face with one of these bad boys and she will say "is that all you got"! These are my go to balls for slinging at people. You can't beat them. These are the balls you need if you want to hit someone hard without hurting them. You will never play dodgeball with a kickball again! ... show more
