One gets a wooden pickleball paddle for its durability, otherwise why else would you? It's meant for constant use, not snapping the handle and requiring ducttape to keep it together after a few hours of play. Bought it as a warmup paddle, now it's just a table coaster.

    • Great Pickle Ball Paddle for the Price
I don't think there is a better paddle for $14.99. it is a little heavier than the aluminum and composite paddles (as it is wood), but the pickle ball has a good bounce off of it. I also really enjoy the quality stitched grip. The wood is a little thin, which does allow for a better swing, but also means it probably won't survive a smack to the ground or fence. We played pickle ball once and my 5 year old broke the wooden racket. With a quick search to replace I saw this one, read the reviews and ordered. It's sturdy and 5 year old proof. Great choice.

Not a good value for your money. While playing I went to hit the ball and hit the paddle on the ground. It broke and went to see what the warranty is, which is only 90 days. MOST other brands have a 1 year warranty with 100% satisfaction guaranteed. Will not be buying any other Franklin brand items.
