My kids haven't been out on a golf course or a range but they've seen my clubs and asked or heard some of the other parents in our group talk about golfing. This club and set of balls is a decently made product. I say product because it feels to me like it's between the lines of toy meets sporting equipment. The club is a little long for my 4 y/os but will give them a chance to get the hang of swinging a club at a golf ball. The shaft says it's fiberglass so I'm sure it can snap if misused but is certainly more durable than toy clubs that are solid or hallowed plastic tubing for club shafts. The head is solid so make sure your kid treats this like a real club, use common sense and advise saftey before just handing it over to them. All in all I think this is a good price for what it is and it's not like most kids this age would need irons too if this is a first real type of club to get them used to the coordination of swinging golf clubs. ... show more

Franklin has made a nice club to get your kids started with golf. The club can get your kid used to how to swing a golf club. And also how to hold a club properly. The foam balls are nice so you don't have to worry about the ball doing damage in the house. This is something I wish I had as a small kid. I might be able to hit a driver if I started early with something like this club. Definitely a good pick up if you want your little ones to get started with golf. ... show more

Great golfing starter set to get your kid outside and moving but definitely not the right size for toddlers. I would say the age for this is probably more for older kids like 7 or older. Still got a few more years for my little guy to get there as its currently comically big when he holds it. Its also got a bit of weight to the club too so rather unweildy for his age (3.5). Initially I thought my 4yr old daughter could play with this. It is just too large for her and too heavy. Why 5 stars? It’s too heavy for her with its oversized head and sturdy construction but it’s built right for an appropriately sized child. I believe this item will last and provide potential years of enjoyment. The foam calls are not light as a feather but they also won’t break things when hit by them. This could be used indoors by the right child but great for outside. Don’t buy for a small child or it’ll stay in your closet till they’re bigger. It’s just too heavy and too big for a little one to really have fun with. It’s probably better suited for someone interested in playing the game. Overall a great item. Worth the price. Just got for my kid right now. ... show more

This is a real proper club head for kids around ages 7-10 years old. It comes with proper weight and feels just like the real thing, just smaller size. The two foam balls are great for them to practice without breaking stuff and it works as a great introduction to the sport.

This is a terrific set for a young boy or girl. I love the way that there's weight to the club, as it helps my granddaughter feel like she's actually playing golf! We had a great time hitting the balls on the front lawn, creating targets and extending the distance until she was hitting them across the street.
