Super high quality, well made net! Skip the cheaper alternatives. Thing thing is super slick. The rubberized coating and flat bottom are perfect. The hoop is thick and solid, the handle is the perfect length and is ergonomic. It's also really light! I can't even tell it's there when it's hanging off my waders. I went with the 13x18. It feels sturdy enough to hold a 20+ lb fish no problem. I highly recommend this for a wading net!

These nets are perfect for fishing from kayaks...not only are they relatively small and portable, they also come with carabiners so that they can be attached to kayaks, so they don't fall off and end up down the river if you're not paying attention. I bought two of these for my 12 & 14 yr old sons who love fishing from kayaks and these nets could not have been better for them. They float, so if the net is dropped into the water, they're not heading for the bottom as other fishing nets would. The mesh material is coated with rubber so they're easier on the fish for catch & release and don't snag up treble hooks as badly as a fabric net. 5 stars on this net, definitely recommend.

I use this on my float tube and it’s nice and compact but gets the job done with bass this is also great for Shoreline fishing. Extremely durable with no moving parts or collapsible pieces. The net doesn’t tangle recommend for anybody.

So far I have used this net to land exactly one fish... but it worked admirably. I was searching online for reviews of nets and stumbled onto a fly fishing guide's review of different nets. He recommended this net for its depth and affordability. There is no way any fish is going to be able to flip out of this net. I also like that the bottom is flat so that the rest of the net stays out of the way while you extract the hook. The one, very slight, issue I had was the supplied retention device is junk. It's an elastic band with a tiny carabiner that doesn't stay closed. I found a cheap magnetic device on Amazon to go with the net, and it worked perfectly.

Absolute spectacular net, especially for the type of fishing and fish that I like to chase. Love catching big wild brown trout, and as many anglers know trout can be fragile and require careful handling for proper catch and release. The wide diameter of this specific model allows you to net big fish with ease. Also, due to the depth of the net the fish have practically a mini aquarium they can swim in once in the net. Instead of the fish having no room to move, like your average trout fishing net, and jump around, get all tangled up in the net, etc; they remain much calmer with the additional room they which makes unhooking and releasing the fish I catch significantly easier than any other net I’ve owned in the past. The net is lightweight, and easily fits in the back of my fishpond carrying bag. My only complaint is I wish the handle could be just a tad longer. Sometimes when I’m netting a fish with this net, I feel like I can barely hold onto it if I’m chasing a fish in heavy current. Would be a lot easier with a slightly longer handle. Aside from that amazing net, and for the price you just can’t beat it. Gets the job done, and has been my go to net for many years!

The lightweight build is comfortable to carry and use. The rubber mesh is gentle on the fish and tangle-free, which I really appreciate. Frabill's landing nets are the best deal in the fishing industry. They are light, durable, and available in multiple sizes. And don't be confused by the sizes. The main designation is always the hoop size, sans handle, the length of which is given separately. The 9x20" "square" (actually a rectangle with rounded corners) is great for stream fishing for trout--particularly if you're traveling or hiking--as it takes up much less room than a teardrop hoop but can still accommodate a 20+" fish. Perfect!
