I've only used these skates once, which was at an indoor rink, but they seemed to work well. I bought them because of the positive reviews and the quality materials. I had specifically wanted skates that had a metal plate versus plastic and had some padding for good ankle support. The reason for the deduction of a star is due to their false advertising. I went to the website for Foxy Skates after having received them to inquire about the hardness rating of the wheels (they're 82A, in case you're wondering). While there, I discovered the uppers are actually made of vegan leather and not soft cowhide leather as this listing states. This listing also stated that these are unisex skates, and they are not. I sold shoes when I was younger, so I am very familiar with men's and women's shoe sizing. I am a true 10M in women's and I was concerned if these were going to be too short when I initially tried them on. The 10 did fit perfectly fine once laced. You definitely would not size down. I would not recommend these for men unless you have a short narrow foot. A men's medium is a woman's wide. These are a women's medium. I also bought new laces, initially for the pop of color, but they became necessary as the original laces are too short to lace all the way up to me. They come with 72" laces. I bought 96" laces. I could have done with 84" laces, but the 96" works too (you can always wrap the laces around your ankle before tieing a bow). EDIT: They have changed their description information since my review to reflect faux leather instead of genuine leather. I still feel that they need to correct their listing to show that this is strictly a woman's skate in US women's sizing. The Foxy Skates website specifically states that these are women's skates. A man could only wear these skates if he has a narrow foot and sizes up.

These skates are really cute, pictures don’t do them justice. They’re also made of thick quality made material and the inside is lined with a soft cushioned fabric to provide support. Overall the product is well made both physically and in functionality. Shipping was also really fast and they arrived in the cutest packaging. I love them!

Love them! Arrived fairly quickly. The product value is very good for the price! I used them outside, on different types of flooring but mostly asphalt and cement. They are great for what I need them for (skating around parking lots for the most part). Very happy with my purchase.

As someone who just started roller skating, I can't provide a professional review about these skates. I can tell you, though, that for learning, they work very well. I have to say that unless you plan on competitively using these or using them on a daily basis, you will not need new wheels or bearings. The ones that they come with work perfectly fine for the basics and learning, and the shoes are actually quite comfortable, despite a friend of mine warning me that I was going to need foam insoles so my feet wouldn't hurt. These roller skates are great quality!

The media could not be loaded. I got these as a birthday gift for my daughter. They are beautiful, great quality, the wheels have good grip and glide well on smooth asphalt. She loved them and I highly recommend this brand and will be ordering some for myself :) She normally wears shoe size 7-7.5, I ordered in 7 and they fit her comfortably.

My daughter whore these and on the fist time the front breaks popped off. So I put it back on screwed it in and the next weekend when she went skating popped off again. She ended up with a sprained ankle. I would not recommend at all.
