I bought this helmet a few weeks ago and it's already been through some serious trail time. First off, the fit is snug but comfortable — it doesn’t bounce around at all when I hit bumps or land jumps. The padding inside is plush and doesn’t give me that pressure headache even after a couple of hours riding. Ventilation is great too — I was out in 85°F weather and still felt a breeze through the vents. It kept me cool and focused, which makes a huge difference on long rides. The visor is adjustable and didn’t fog up once, even during some muddy stretches. Build quality is solid. I haven’t (thankfully) had to test it in a crash yet, but it feels sturdy and well-made. I'm a longtime street rider who's just getting into dirt riding and I have some upcoming training. I already have a Shoei Neotec 2 and an LS2 Explorer Adventure, but I wanted a 'pure dirt' helmet with maximum airflow, ECE rating and MIPS. I also wanted to spend as little as possible within those parameters, as I don't yet know how much dirt riding I'll actually do. Fit is excellent for me; I'm an XL in general and this one is true to size. Cheeks are snug but not pinchy. No hot spots on my skull. The liner isn't super luxurious-feeling but neither is it scratchy or uncomfortable. The chin strap is a "old school" double D-ring, which doesn't bother me (in fact it's arguably safer) but might annoy someone who's only ever used ratcheting straps. It feels pleasantly light on my head. I know the pricier helmets can get significantly lighter, but coming from a Neotec 2 as my baseline, the weight is lovely. I really like the solid-color options as I'm kinda conservative (boring) style-wise. It's pretty uncommon in dirt-oriented gear, so kudos to Fox for offering that. I wore it this morning on my commute just to test it out, expecting to be somewhat miserable (speed of traffic where I live is 80+ MPH). Surprisingly, I loved it! The peak will tug your head around at freeway speeds, but not nearly as much as I'd expected (in fact less than my ADV helmet). The airflow is just superb; it's the first time I've ever felt the wind through my hair in a full-face. I know this is kind of the point with dirt helmets, and I can't really assess how this one stacks up within the category, but for me it's incredible. It is noisier than my street lids as expected, but I always wear earplugs so the extra noise is noticeable but not bothersome. I bought this as an affordable, single-purpose helmet that I didn't expect to get much use out of, but it may well become my daily street helmet–despite owning a premium street helmet. The Neotec may end up relegated to cold-weather or group rides, since it's set up for comms. I'm honestly blown away and left wondering how much better a $400 or $500 dirt helmet could really be. ... show more

Feels kinda plasticy and cheap for a $200+ helmet. It does function as intended and has a wonderful glossy look on the shell, but I'm not sure how it would hold up after one crash. The helmet is very light and a bit tight compared to other brands. Overall meh, buy it if you have the money, but if you're looking for high quality rather than looks, I would look elsewhere such as the O'neal 1SRS. ... show more
