The Fox Outdoor Tactical Assault Rifle Scabbard was designed to transport various types and sizes of assault rifles safely and easily. Great quality product. The pictures do not show how well this is made. I had intended to use this on a rifle with optics but this did not have enough room to do so but on the upside, This scabbard will fit most shotguns and since it has tons of Velcro you can add shotgun shell cards to the hook and loop. it has so many d rings for optional carry customization or small clip on items. the optional adjustment straps can be removed if not needed so they do not get in the way. it has a ton of mole strap locations for full customization as far as Molle goes . Highly recommend this scabbard. so glad I chose this one instead of one of the very low end budget ones. I would recommend a molle accessory kits if you plan on attaching much other stuff to it but they are not necessary as this does have many options for customization. On another note, This has a ton of hook and loop so you patch addicts can literally about cover this thing in all your morale hook and loop patches. ... show more

This scabbard is very high quality. I'm so glad that Indidn't cheap-out and buy one of the cheaper scabbards. A Mossberg with a Magpul forend, light and sidesaddle do fit, but it is very tight. This one is worth every penny!

    • Awkward carry strap.

I have a 15 inch AR15 and it seats awkwardly in the scabbard. I attempted to mount a couple magazine holders on the outside and with the weight of the gun and the extra magazines the carrie strap sits akwardly. No matter which clip area you use it does not carry correctly.and sits at an awkward angle. Not sure how to fix that. I probably will be removing the magazine carriers and replacing them with something much lighter. I am not sure how to put anything on it that's going to carry correctly or change the clip area to where the angle does not force the weight to push it outward. Also, if you have mounted sites of any type it is an extremely tight fit and does not necessarily go into the scabbard a 100%. Where the magazine well sticks out should be a little bit farther forward. Probably about 2 to 3 inches. If you have a sight it will be at the edge of the scabbard cover where it can get scratched or damaged. ... show more

Before I bought this scabbard I compared it to many other ones including several others on different websites. This scabbard is very well designed and made with quality materials. The interior has a nice amount of padding which keeps something like the Mossberg Shockwave secure but it is also capable of carrying carbines and most 16-18 inch barrel length shotguns. This scabbard is on the more expensive side compared to the other ones but it's justified because I'd rather only have to spend my money once and be happy with the product then wasting more money on several that don't hold up to par. ... show more

Was a bit stiff when it showed up, but after use it definitely made its way as my favorite shotgun case. My tactical shotgun fits well and stays very well inside, not matter the angle or bend I happen to do while moving. And the Mollie system works very well. Took pouches and kit off my best and sit firm on the case. Definitely recommend you get this if your needs require it. And note not all states will let you use this as a case. Made crazy tough! This is the ideal tactical case for the Mossberg Shockwave. It can be adjusted to act like a quick draw scabbard strapped behind you, or re-adjust the end and close it up top for the long travel carry. Another handy feature you don't see on other brands is the well made moveable handle, which is extremely useful if you want to use it as a carrying case instead of a scabbard, and the C/G changes on you. I personally have a sidesaddle 6-shell holder and a rail mounted small red dot laser, and it fits nice and securely, yet is easy to pull out without anything snagging. I have an ammo bag MOLLE'D to the back, which is another feature, as the MOLLE is on both sides of the scabbard. ( I have called it both a case and scabbard as it is really two in one!)
