    • Works great with "problem" appliances!
I love this converter. It worked amazingly well on our trip to Iceland and Denmark, and we used it to charge electric toothbrushes and a compact hair iron in addition to our phones. I was really worried, having read other reviews and articles, that the converter would overheat or otherwise cause problems with electric toothbrushes and heating tools, but this one had zero issues and our appliances all worked great. We didn't have to use any of the adapters because it uses the most common European plug by default, but they all look easy to use. I gave this as a gift, too, and the recipient used it successfully in Greece and Kenya. And finally, it fits nicely in its carry bag and doesn't take up a ton of space. I purchased this item in March for a trip to Europe in April. On the first night of our trip, I wanted to use this Power Adapter/Converter to recharge the battery for my phone and it didn't work. I tried different outlets in the room and it wouldn't work. I contacted the hotel registration desk and he said he didn't know why it wouldn't work, so I just assumed that I had purchased a defective product. I was definitely disappointed because I purchased it because of the size and th many things that you could charge at one time. The next morning we were talking to other hotel guests and they said they didn't have any problems in their rooms. I mentioned this to the guy at the front desk and he said he'd check on it. When we returned that evening, it worked. So the problem wasn't the product, it was the hotel's problem. The adapter/converted worked very well for the remainder of our trip to Europe (Spain, Portugal, Morocco and Ireland) which was 5 1/2 weeks long. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who is traveling to Europe.     • Worked great for our Italy trip
I was a little hesitant to buy based on some of the reviews, but we were going to Italy for 12 days and wife wanted to bring curling iron and some other things where converter was needed. We just got back and I have to say that we were really pleased with this. Worked great. And having the mulitple USB ports was really a plus. We could charge multiple devices at once. Granted our trip was a short trial period but we were really glad we bought this. There was one point where I thought it stopped working--turned out there was a switch in the room that killed power to the outlet we were using.     • Great CONVERTER
This is a great CONVERTER. It also works as an ADAPTER. For those who aren't familiar, you need to convert all your electronic devices from 220V in Europe to the 110-120V we use in the USA. If all you want to do is charge an iPhone, the iPhone plug is actually a converter as well (the little white box you plug your USB in to.....it is very cool) but you still need an adaptor because you can't plug the USA iPhone in to a European outlet. This converter functions as a converter and an adapter. I also bought some adapters so if my family wanted to just charge our iphones we could just plug in to the adapter. But I also had to charge the chargers we all had, and camera batteries, and that's when the converter is needed otherwise you'll blow out your device. This Converter is also great because you can charge so many things at once. Several times even for the iphones I had all 4 plugged in to the USB ports on this converter (even though you can use an adapter and go directly in to the plug in the wall as long as you use the iPhone plug), and was charging 3 chargers directly in to the converter outlets. This thing is powerful and to prevent overheating it has a little fan that seems to run continuously but is not annoying or distracting at all. It also comes with a lot of plugs for other countries, which is nice. I highly recommend this product, and it cost half the amount of similar converters. ... show more

This does not work in Australia or in New Zealand. I found out this until I was already on my trip and had to carry it around the whole time I was there and was not able to use it. And had to buy one over there to use while I was there. By the time I came back from my trip it was too late to return it. These are the outlets used in Australia and in New Zealand and none of the adapters fit these. Very disappointed that I can’t return it. False advertising. ... show more

I can’t say enough good things about this product! I have had converters in the past that were heavy, loud and not always reliable and MUCH more expensive. THIS converter is small and very mighty and totally SILENT. It is very light and comes in its own pouch. It worked perfectly from the first time I plugged it in on a 15 day trip to France. Every 3 days I moved to a new hotel and it worked perfect each move. I was able to use my electric hair curlers with no problem, charge my iPad, phone and curling iron!
