Only time will tell the true durability and reliability of this compressor but the AC in my 2000 Tahoe(with rear AC) blows nice and cold the compressor is quiet and performs like it should.do not buy into the scare tactic of the "deslugger" that four seasons pushes it's buyers to get.slugging is only an issue for compressors that are unused for weeks or even months at a time and as long as you run your AC/defroster once a day or every time you drive your vehicle you will never experience the so called "slugging" problem ... show more

    • This part was not the same as the original
One of the bolts bottomed out because the hole was not deep enough for the bolt to be tightened all the way. Therefore the housing is now stripped and the unit is now unusable.

Bought this and had it installed by a mechanic, worked excellent the first three times it got used. instructions were followed, says to tip forward to get oil on seal, that was done. system cleaned out but it did not last. Turned on AC the last time and it made weird noises, oil was dripping on ground. Got on here to contact seller seen warranty info, says to flush system and other steps all that was done but for warranty they want proof you bought the items to flush and the filter, I did not save the receipts for the other stuff because I did not know it was part of the warranty requirements. Warranty requirements should be under description not a tiny thing you click on. I should have just bought it at local auto parts for 20 dollars more and exchange would have been no problem. ... show more

Product was the correct replacement for the OEM compressor and has my vehicle back up and blowing ice cold air again. Only suggestion I have is getting a new low pressure switch for it. Cheap part from auto parts store and a breeze to install. My original one was old and wouldn’t come out of the old compressor so in the middle of the install I had to stop and go make a parts run so just a heads up to make things that much smoother of an install. ... show more

So far 2 perfect for years, one crapped out after exactly one year. Warrenty expired two weeks before hand.

Little pricey , and not much fun to change out But operates great so far! I also changed the tensioner and belt while I was at it. Great product !!

Perfect replacement of my A/C compressor on my 2002 Chevy Suburban 1500 LT with rear air conditioning. You need to removed high pressure sensor from rear of old compressor by removing snap ring and twisting off sensor and placing it on new A/C compressor. I also replace my accumulator and orifice. No more noise and cooling great. ... show more
