  • Good OE style compressor!!
Only time will tell the true durability and reliability of this compressor but the AC in my 2000 Tahoe(with rear AC) blows nice and cold the compressor is quiet and performs like it should.do not buy into the scare tactic of the "deslugger" that four seasons pushes it's buyers to get.slugging is only an issue for compressors that are unused for weeks or even months at a time and as long as you run your AC/defroster once a day or every time you drive your vehicle you will never experience the so called "slugging" problem ... show more

  • This part was not the same as the original
One of the bolts bottomed out because the hole was not deep enough for the bolt to be tightened all the way. Therefore the housing is now stripped and the unit is now unusable.

  • Bad compressors
Bought this for my truck. First one arrived seized in the box. Returned and replaced. New one seemed great. Flushed the system, replaced orifice tube and drier. Pulled a vacuum on the system for an hour with no leaks. Followed the Four Seasons directions exactly. Worked perfectly…for 6 months. Then it started taking more horsepower to run the ac. Next thing I know, the compressor is making horrible noises. On disassembly, it has put metal shavings through the whole system. I had to replace everything except for the hoses and tubes. These compressors are crap. And don’t fall for the 2 year warranty. If you call Four Seasons they tell you to talk to Amazon. If you ask Amazon, they tell you to call 4 Seasons. I’ve been trying to get Amazon to honor the warranty for over a month without success. Skip 4 seasons and buy OEM. ... show more

  • Very happy get this one
So i was pretty skeptical after reading everything but i bought it anyways because autozone offered the same one for way more. After installing this on my 2002 chevy tahoe 5.3L with rear ac i got to say im very happy. Blows super cold front ac temp 52 degrees rear ac 57 degrees at idle blows super cold on the gas! If you have rear ac and need a good unit get this one. Last thing you will need to buy pag46 and pressure sensor so buy them together. ... show more

  • No different than the high dollar OEM
Product was the correct replacement for the OEM compressor and has my vehicle back up and blowing ice cold air again. Only suggestion I have is getting a new low pressure switch for it. Cheap part from auto parts store and a breeze to install. My original one was old and wouldn’t come out of the old compressor so in the middle of the install I had to stop and go make a parts run so just a heads up to make things that much smoother of an install. ... show more
