  • I’m sure it is a one product. But it says it fits 02 Dodge Ram 1500 and it does not.

  • Very cost efficient compressor
My clutch was going on my original compressor. Well, it WAS 19 years old. A replacement clutch and the labor involved with just the clutch replacement and tools made it very expensive. This was a great alternative. The product could not be simpler to install. Also, this is not re-manufactured. Can confirm DOES come pre-filled with oil. Lubricate any washers that are involved with some of the PAG oil from the old compressor. There are what I have always called "crush" washers on this so be aware any disassembly after the fact would need those washers replaced. They are kind of hollow in the middle and designed to "crush" to get a good metal to metal seal, almost like cold soldering. (Copper brake washers are very similar.) Evacuate the system after torquing the lines to it and refill and you are ready to go. ... show more

  • Ahhh Cold air again
The price was a lot lower than the auto parts stores near me even though it was the exact same model they were selling. It was easy enough to install after adding the correct amount of TAG oil. All you have to do is scan the bar code thing on the instruction sheet and it downloads the instructions for the type of TAG oil to use and how much is needed for your compressor. Be sure to replace the accumulator and flush out your system before using the new compressor. Mine was on a 97 Dodge ram 1500 Sport with the 5.9 Liter and the compressor works perfectly. ... show more

  • It's been working great so far
It's been working great so far, so no problems with a/c performance to mention. One big gripe I had with it was that the instructions and sticker on the compressor both said that there was no oil in it, and that I'd need to add the correct amount of oil. Luckily I checked it before I added more, because the thing was full of oil already. That is a very big slip up being made by the instructions, and could cause problems for people. A couple smaller things are that the clutch seems like it's louder when it engages than the original, and it seems to put more load on the engine than the original, but I'm not positive if that's true or just me. ... show more

  • May not fit the existing a/c lines
Using the vehicle search option offered by Amazon, it said this was a direct fit for my 5.9L gasoline truck. For the most part it is a direct fit, until I tried to connect the a/c lines to the compressor. My fittings are much larger than the fittings on the unit. Thankfully I was able to swap backing plates and still use the new compressor. ... show more
