I usually use diluted purple and/or gray Overtone on my gray hair to keep it from yellowing, and to give it a fun tint (because why not!). When I used the Four Reasons "Bronze," I still had a very faded light purple tint in my hair. The Bronze canceled out some of the remaining purple, and my hair came out with a very, very subtle cool blonde/violet tint - pretty, but more subtle than what I was looking for. It was almost invisible to anyone else. But it was super shiny, and felt great. So the next time, I mixed the Bronze with a tiny bit of "Vivid Magenta," and a lot of conditioner. This time, I got a beautiful cool blond with a slight pink tint. On its own, I'm not sure that Bronze would do a lot on gray hair (other than give you a silky texture and shine), but when you mix it with a tiny bit of a fashion color, it tones them down and gives you a really pretty almost-natural-but-not-quite color.

I have to leave it in my hair a long time to get any results. It does also wash out pretty quickly. Overall it's a nice short term fix to make my grays look a little ashier.

I color my own hair and I was going for a mauve/rose gold color and tried a new hair color brand and it didn't turn out the way I was expecting - it was basically pink (seen in the before photos) and I wanted a quick fix and found this stuff and got the Bronze toner. I dampened my hair and soaked my hair in it for a few hours and it got my hair where I wanted it to be. Sorry that the 'after' pictures are taken in the evening with less lighting but you get the idea. Definitely will buy again.

I wanted to like this SO bad. First off I’ll say it IS super effective in toning! (I got the pearl to tone brassy blonde) But it destroyed my hair. Granted, my hair was already not in great condition after bleaching it, but it wasn’t too bad- this made it SO much worse. If your hair is damaged at *all* I’d avoid this, but if you’ve got pretty healthy hair, go for it.

This product was supplied to me with the encouragement to review it. This worked out great for me as I was already using this product and was ready for a refill. I just started using this color mask to add a bit of color to my dishwasher blonde hair. I've previously had foils of color added to my hair but of course the regrowth shows after awhile and it was time consuming and expensive to maintain. So, I am now trying the approach of having a few highlights added once or twice a year and adding a color lift via these color depositing masks. This seems to be working. The mask still allows my highlights to show but it fades away, so no obvious regrowth lines. I have a few grey hairs and they blend in nicely with the rest of my hair even if they are still visible. I think this is an easier way to avoid the dishwater look while saving a bit of time and money.

I loved the smell of this conditioner and it made my hair extremely soft and smooth! My complaint is that it didn’t deposit color at all no matter how long I left it in or how many times I used it. Not worth the money if you need to enhance your color!

I wasn't sure about this because I've never tried a color depositing condition but I put it in left it in for about 5 mins, washed it out and it really worked! Then I thought the next time I washed my hair (a week from then) it would wash out...it didn't! It stayed, it might have faded a little bit but didn't wash out. Next time I'll leave it in for longer for more intensity but over all it was amazing and left my hair nice and soft and smells good also!

I had tried to get this done at a salon for $250, However it faded & basically washed out within weeks. I decided to try this instead of going to the salon again & throwing my money down the toilet. This can stain anything it comes in contact with. I suggest putting vaseline on you hair line & ears to keep your skin from getting stained. Wear gloves! Keep baby wipes handy for accidents while the color is still wet. Rinse in your kitchen sink or outside with water hose. This will stain your tub. I got a few dots in the bottom of my cream colored marble tub & it took quite a few deep cleans before it come up & there are still remnants left. I love this product!! Honestly the pictures do not even do it justice, it’s extremely bright & beautiful where I had the most bleached areas of hair previously.
