  • So far I am really impressed with this Generator!
Arrived yesterday via Estes freight who was great to deal with. They sent a smaller truck per my request as my driveway is challenging for large trucks. Generator was in perfect shape and relatively simple to install wheels and handles. Also need to remove to red shipping brackets. Cosmetically with the shiny chrome wheel covers and Ford blue paint job, this is a very good looking unit and high WAF. Filled it with oil and had another quart of 10-30W on hand as one reviewer here mentioned it takes a little more than one quart to fill line. Starts very quickly using choke. Ran it for about 15 minutes on Propane and tested with a shop vac for some load. Fluke DMM indicates 121 volts and 62 Hz. Was very stable even switching shop vac on and off. It was much quieter than I expected. As others have stated about like a lawn mower or pressure washer. Pleasant surprise! Now will come the chore of a transfer switch to power the house. This Generator is actually made by Pulsar who has generators under their own name and others from what I can see. The engine (Ducar) seems to be in quite a few different companies generator products. I will probably put larger wheels on it to make it easier to move on rough terrain. Time will tell but for now, I am very pleased with this purchase. ... show more

  • Built Ford Tough
First it’s an awesome looking Generator, aall tools come with it( but a 8mm & 10mm 1/4” socket & small extension would make job more easier). If u can follow step by step instructions you will have no issues. When assembling don’t be afraid to turn on it’s sides to make it easier, also a small 4x4 piece of wood to place under while installing wheels & front support makes life easy to. The 50 amp rv outlet works perfect if you want to run essentials in you House. Will be running some wiring to small 50 amp ATS SWITCH & sub panel. To run boiler, 3/10000btu AC window units, refrigerator, chest freezer, WIFI, TV. But if you don’t need all that I made my own 30 amp extension cord with 2 duplexes w/device chargers. The 30 & 50 amp outlets do not come with any male plugs & u must use correct wire size. ( 30 amp=#10 awg wire, 50 amp = #8 awg wire) SJ cord makes best extension cords & there not cheap. Buying already assembled is easiest, making ur own is cheaper. Easier is always better. Only had 1 week started right up with propane bbq tank. Getting new 80 gallon propane just for it, not interested in gas sits 275lbs without 6.6 gallons of gas. Get good chain & lock it’s kinda noisy & everyone will want it. ... show more

  • Doesn't run. Pulsar useless
Waited for it, needed it, got it and it won't run. Perfect. Waiting to hear from seller. Seller immediately responded and asked me to contact the manufacturer, who doesn't answer. I should have known better. After waiting, my choices are be without it for weeks due to a return or I have to take it to a repair facility. They will not pick it up. Pulsar is a joke in the days of customer service and covid. Don't buy anything manufactured by them. Look elsewhere. ... show more

  • Great generator for the price!
Size: 7,750W Dual Fuel
You get a lot for the price. First is gasoline and propane which is exactly what I wanted. Remember the gas issues several years back? It has plenty of outlet options, for 220volt and 110volt. It is fairly easy to move around with folding handles and wider wheels. It is both electric an pull start (in case the battery dies), which is a plus. I have run a lot of items in my house an it was able to handle them, including my 220volt well and furnace. I only have 14hours on it, but all is good so far. It is not the quietest, but you will pay 3 to 4x more for that with a honda etc. The only thing that could really be a big improvement at a reasonable cost would be an auto throttle so its not running wide open for low draw items. Had no issues with TV, Micro wave etc. Pretty happy with it, I hope it lasts. Update 5-20 had power go out for 2 days straight, ran continuously with not one issue. switching from gas to propane while running was perfect! If this generator had auto throttle it would be the and unbelieveable item! Very happy with the purchase, I like the little upgrades Ford did to the pulsar made generator. ... show more

  • Works even better than I expected.
We bought this for our RV fifth wheel. My last generator was only 5500 W and would not run the entire trailer. This Ford 11050/9000 ran both ACs, the microwave (1500 watts), and the Keurig at the same time without even flinching. It is not a quiet generator. But it is quieter than our last one. It’s a dual fuel generator, so I switched it from gas to propane while it was still running. It worked perfectly. After we assembled the generator, we followed the instructions and it fired up the second I pushed the electric start button. If you buy one, just make sure you have an extra 5 ounces of 10W-30 motor oil. The instructions tell you that it takes 38oz but it only comes with 33oz but Ford included all the tools needed to put it together. The RL delivery driver even called me before he headed my way. ... show more

  • Best generator I owned so far
Product arrived on time with no damage. Appears to be very solid as runs great. I gave a test run for 2 hrs and changed the oil ran again for 3 hrs and changed oil again. Then I connected to my interlock switch using a 50 amp cord and is able to run my 2000sqft home on propane with no problem. Only thing thats not wired for my switch is the stove and microwave and dryer and water heater but being in Florida the water is warm all the time. Runs my central A/C and everything else and I could run a extension cord for the microwave. Back to the generator with all the lights and tv's computers the generator didn't even wine like my old one did. I'll review again after our next hurricane. ... show more

  • Would not start... But...
So the generator looks well built. But would not start. I called the service number and Amazon after troubleshooting with a very thin troubleshooting section in a very nice manual. (Should have a jumper try out section?) My conclusion was the oil level switch was hung up and interrupted the ignition coil. Good part was Pulsar? sent out the truck within 3 days. and refunded me within 10 days. I bought a Honda EB5000 at my local dealer for twice the price but it runs like mil-spec. ... show more
