Description

The Ford FG11050PBE Dual Fuel Portable Generator has the power you need to weather the storm, hurricane, black-outs, power shortages and the “Built Ford Tough” durability you can rely on. Using Gasoline, It is 11050 W Peak and 9000 W rated. If you choose to use LPG, it is 10500W Peak and 8100W rated. Its 457cc 4-Stroke, OHV engine can be run on either gasoline or liquid propane. 6.6 gallon (25L) fuel tank provide you with 9 hours of run time @ half load. The patented Switch & Go technology allows you to seamlessly switch between fuel sources while in operation. It comes with automatic choke that gives you a smooth single button remote start experience. It is switch box compatible and fully automated with electric start. The rugged M-Frame design with drop- down handles and 10" Never-flat wheels provide optimal portability, so you can store and maneuver the unit with ease. We upgraded to this generator after Hurricane Milton, so that we could power our whole house, within reasonable electrical usage. We had a 50 amp hookup connected to our main electrical panel for ease of transition to generator power. I highly recommend this generator!!!!! The fit and finish of this generator is outstanding. The few tools included for assembly were very high quality. Everything went easily and smoothly during assembly. The warranty and assembly instructions are very clear and the pictures were accurate. It is a great looking machine. The battery issues mentioned by others I believe to be simple ignorance or rare problems. My battery was at 20% charge and simply needed charging. After charging the battery, I found something exciting! When trying to use the electric start, nothing happened. So, after double checking everything, I checked the wiring and found a plug disconnected and zip tied together. After connecting the plug it started right up. When starting on propane, put it on choke and push start for about 3 seconds. Then select the lever to run and it started immediately! I was so pleased that there is already a connector in the wiring that you can plug in an inexpensive trickle charger to always keep your battery fully charged! This brings me a lot of piece of mind and confidence that it will always be ready when needed most. One important thing to note is that the oil came in a 1 liter container and it took all of it and was at the bottom of the xxxx range on the dipstick. Be ready to add 1.25 qts when changing the oil. The box was attached to a pallet and undamaged. It arrived 2 days earlier than originally expected. ALWAYS USE RECREATION GAS (non-ethanol) when using fuel and not cheap unleaded gas. In an emergency use premium gas with lower ethanol levels. Never store gas in your generator!!!!! Always drain the tank and carburetor bowl. This is easy and there are plenty of YouTube videos on how to do it. Even with stabilizer, ethanol fuel may go bad like in my little generator and ruin the tank, fuel selector valve and carburetor, requiring replacement of these parts. ... show more

This unit is heavy (200 Lbs.). Ease of assembly is a big plus. Suggest that installing the back bar be installed by tilting the unit over on the front, using your cardboard to keep it from getting scratches. Then lower it back to an upright position and install the wheels and handles.. I didn't use gasoline but used propane to start with. According to what the manual tells you to do is place the engine in the choke mode before starting. It wouldn't start that way. After taking it off choke and placing it in the run position, it started after a few seconds and we ran it for about 15 minutes. The quart of oil that comes with the generator is only enough to gets the oil level up to the low mark. I'll be adding enough to get it in the (xxxx) level. Over all, this is a very robust generator and will come in handy if the power goes out. Great price for the watts. No it's not a Honda EU7000is which is going for $5,799.99 plus tax and only is rated at 6,000 watts on LP gas and 7,000 watts on gasoline; at the time of this review. ... show more

Easy assembly (didn’t use directions)… added oil provided but requires a bit more than they provide per directions. Decided to run this on propane and it started easily with pull rope… battery will charge after it runs a few hours I’m thinking. That’s been my experience with other unit I have. Hoping this will run big belt sander to finish hardwood floors as I don’t have electric yet out in the country but hope to get power in a month or two… fingers crossed ... show more

Advertisement a bit misleading. Came with bad battery taking two weeks to receive a new one . Removed shipping brackets installed wheels and handles . Filled with oil ( shipped was not enough ) I chose to use propane. Closed choke ,, leave closed for propane. Started right up . Not very loud at unit . ... show more
