I am updating my review because after I posted this, the seller reached out and offered to replace the car with a new one. The new one has been working well so far and their customer service was just STELLAR. We really had high hopes for this car. It was a smaller version of a bigger car that my older son got. It doesn’t connect well to the remote and then the tiny button on the on off switch broke off and we have to use a pin to turn it on and off. my 3- year-old son loves his new toy. it takes a while for him to able to make the car spinning using the remote but it is so much fun for him. But the battery doesnt last so long. We need to charge it after 30 min or so.

The tires are made of a hard, cheap rubber that does not provide very good traction indoors (works ok on carpet, but just does burn outs on hardwood/linoleum). Has that cheap, Chinese plastic smell to it. Also, the remote does not recognize pressure sensitivity on the joysticks, they simply work as on/off switches for the wheels. Couple this with the poor traction, and you really can’t control the thing with any degree of precision. It’s just best for making lots of donuts or for thrashing around. However, with all those things said, my kids love this toy. The construction is of a pretty good quality so it is durable, and seems that it will survive at least a few weeks of abuse. The battery also lasts a good long while… not sure how many charges we’ll get out of it, but I doubt that it’s novelty will last long enough for that to be an issue. All in all, I would say this is a good toy for little kids, age 3 to 7 or something like that. Once they get older they’ll probably want something more sophisticated. I bought this one and another model for my two grandsons who are 9 and 10 years old. I charged the batteries and ran them myself to see how they performed before wrapping them up and was impressed with the overall quality and performance. The boys opened them excitedly and had them running and flipping over and running upside down, spinning around, and doing tricks I could hardly imagine. It's fun, it's a great gift. It isn't that easy to charge, and you'll still need AA batteries for the remote control. However, it's easy to manage, children learn fast how to use it.

My daughter who enjoys race cars loved this! It was pretty fast and loved doing the “tornado” trick. LED lights were also pretty cool. Only ick would be having to take off the battery to charge it by usb every time especially being it died every 20-30 minutes. Kind of cheaply made for the damage it’s suppose to withhold.
