Brief update: Between Amazon and the vendor’s customer support, Ruth, I’ve bumped this review to 5 stars because I will deal with this company again in the future. Both went above and beyond to make things right with my poor experience. I actually value that more than anything. Based on the thousands of units they sell, you are bound to find duds. It might be worth buying two or three different kits in case one doesn’t work. Original review below. Having watched several YouTube videos on replacing the iPhone 7+ screen, I felt like I knew what I was getting into. I have replaced iPad and Android screens multiple times. The tools in this kit were awesome. Replacing the fingerprint reader button was a lot easier in reality than what people were doing in the videos. I was able to get the fingerprint/home button to register but the screen refused to turn on. I swapped it out with the broken LCD and the broken one worked. Unfortunate. I wish I had purchased a backup kit from a different brand from the beginning, so now I'm without a phone for awhile.     • Great screen, hard to find and to follow instructions

Once installed, the screen is great. It matches the original screen in every way! If it can be installed, it doesn’t disappoint. Instructions are a different issue though. I was lucky to have the tools from a different screen manufacturer. That screen was mediocre at best, but the tools and the instructions they provided were excellent. They even sent a magnetic mat where you could place all the little screws you have to remove and not lose. That magnetic mat was awesome for reassembly because each screw was back in its original place. The screwdrivers with different ends fit much better than the ones provided for this screen. The manufacturer of this screen should provide better tools in all areas described above. I’m certain that some people will lose screws or mix up their location. It just doesn’t make any sense to engineer such a great screen but provide abysmal support. 1 star off for that. I recommend the screen. If you’re prepared to search for instructions and can devise a way to keep track of the different length screws and reassemble them to their original location then go for this screen. ... show more

Good: The kit itself is great and it comes with everything you need to make the repair. The front camera that is pre-installed is also good quality. The digitizer seems to work well too. Bad: The screen image quality is quite poor. I can see the pixels and the contrast ratio is awful as is color saturation and balance. Anyone who says this looks “like an Apple screen” is far from discerning. Also, the 3D Touch functionality is lost. Not a big deal since Apple has abandoned it as well but if that matters to you this isn’t a good option. ... show more

I have just recently purchased a replacement screen for my iphone 7 plus from this company. I have changed the screen on my iphone several times, and it was an easy swap. However, once everything was connected, I started noticing the problems. First, the LCD screen itself in the bottom right corner is discolored and looks like there was some type of liquid damage. In addition, certain corners of the screen don't register touch properly. For example, I am unable to text the letter A when I text, nor hit the back button in the upper left hand corner. I have installed over 50 iPhone screens before so I know this is not an error on my part. Install was quick and simple because it came pre-assembled with front facing camera etc... but a few hours after it was installed the screen would become unresponsive at times and I would have to Lock/Unlock the phone or Hard Reset it for it to respond again. Going to have to reach out to Amazon for a replacement or refund now that my old screen is gone and can't use my phone. ... show more

Everything in theory was excellent. It should be noted in the description that you should be fairly experienced in changing out screens if you endeavor to do so even with this product. The screen replacement itself was excellent, but the tools were of poor quality. The plastic wedge to remove the screen warped and broke. The screw drivers did not fit the screws and they became stripped trying to use the screw drivers. Although I can appreciate this kit, I was in over my head and destroyed my iphone. ... show more

Thank goodness for YouTube. I used a video for guidelines for installation and it took about 15 minutes. The home button has adhesive attaching it to the phone. I ended up using heat to peel it off, but by that time I believe I had ruined it. This was not part of the product itself, but thought others should be aware. I knocked off one star off of the installation because there were no directions from the seller. ... show more
