The unit works good, I went to a local hardware to get a different gasket where the spigot screws onto the bag. The 1.5 inch that came with it, is too flimsy. For .79 cents each, I got a little thicker 1.5 inch and 1.25 inch gasket. I was able to stretch the 1.25 inch gasket over the male end coming out of the bag. The plumbers tape is also very weak. Go get some of that also. So, for less than $5, this unit is excellent. My next project for this bag is build it a simple frame so it holds a shape and not a blob.

I used this to construct a watering system for my chickens for when we travel. They go through their normal water in about a week when it's hot so I needed a backup. This was fairly easy to setup with the included hardware, I just needed some additional fittings to connect it to my watering system. With what was included, you can easily connect to a standard garden hose fitting. there were some additional fittings that I'm not sure what they were for, but if you need them, you'll have them. Bladder is easy to fill using the top opening and feeds well from the side. No durability issues so far, I'll re-evaluate after it's had a season or two under its belt.

Water is essential to life, especially here on the farm. I have more hoses than I can count, and lots of barrels and tanks to hold, transport, and store water. What this collapsible storage bladder has that conventional vessels lack is compact storage, and a low center of gravity. An empty collapsible storage bladder is not only easy to store, it is easy to handle as it weighs almost nothing compared to a rigid storage vessel. Rigid water storage containers take up their rated volume when they are full- and when they are empty. All winter long, even when they are empty, rigid containers still take up just as much space as when they are 100% full. A collapsible storage bladder changes all of that. While I was initially concerned that a collapsible water bladder would be too fragile to be practical, this has not proven to be the case at all. This collapsible storage bladder is much tougher than I expected, and I can use in the back of my UTV to haul water to areas too far away to reach with a hose to provide water to plants or animals much more easily. I can also use a collapsible storage bladder as a portable reservoir in conjunction with a solar powered drip irrigation system for plants which need attention even when I need to be gone for an extended period. Even when I am home, I find having a reservoir which needs to be filled only periodically is way far less time consuming and more convenient than having to water things daily. A collapsible storage bladder is also much more affordable than a comparable capacity rigid storage vessel. When transporting water, I used to use a tractor with forks mounted on the loader and a barrel on a pallet. This required de-mounting whatever was attached and mounting the forks, and a tall 55-gallon barrel had a high center of gravity so had to be strapped on or risk disaster. With a collapsible storage bladder, I can toss it into a truck or UTV and no straps are required. I can also advantageously tell just how much water remains in the bladder, even from a distance, whereas a full or empty barrel looks exactly the same. I believe that the advantages of a collapsible storage bladder- easier storage, reduced weight, reduced cost, easier transportability, lower center of gravity, and the ability to clearly see how much water remains- far outweigh the negatives. This Araiozora 60-gallon collapsible storage bladder is well made, and a solid value if you are in need of a convenient water storage/transport means.

I know 60 gal of water doesn't seem like it's much but it's enough to get you through several days of water outage. I think the thing to remember is it's 500 pounds worth of water. you need to keep in mind of the logistics of a 500 pound bag of water. Very well made, well thought out fill and dispense systems. If filled with .01 micron filtered water, potable water will stay good for many, many months. I've gone better than 1/2 year using filtered water with no change in quality from when i put it up. there several ways to prep the container but washing it out multiple times in a must. using additives like baking soda to normalise the taste when first washing it out is a plus. It really depends on what your using it for as how to prep the tank. I find this size perfect for me as a long term storage of emergency potable water.
