  • Great package for the price
The Scarlet Studio is a great package for the price in my opinion. With this package you get the CM25 MkIII condenser microphone, 3rd Gen USB Audio Interface, Knox Gear Microphone Suspension Boom Scissor Arm, Knox Gear Basic Microphone Shock Mount, Knox Gear Pop Filter, HP60 MkIII closed-back headphones, XLR cable for the microphone, and USB cable to connect the preamp to your computer. All of these items purchased separately will run you well over the cost of the package itself. The mic and preamp are great for the beginner and someone who doesn't want to invest a ton of money in sound equipment just to start out. There are a ton of youtubers and streamers who still use this setup and highly recommend it. The only complaints that I have are as follows: The mic boom arm although it does the job is a bit shaky at the location where it is mounted to the desk. If you are somebody that doesn't move the mic once it's in place then this wont be an issue, but for somebody like myself who moves the mic when using my computer for streaming or videos it's a little aggravating. The included pop filter does exactly what it is meant to do, but it looks like a giant lollipop in front of your face and for me when it comes to streaming and videos it is just not pleasant. I purchased a separate pop filter and left the Knox filter in the box. (Pop Filter,PEMOTech [Upgraded Three Layers] Metal Mesh & Foam & Etamine Layer Microphone Pop Filter,Microphone Windscreen Cover,Handheld Mic Shield Mask for Vocal Recording,Youtube videos,Streaming) I am thoroughly happy with this setup and would purchase again. ... show more

  • Great for small music creators and podcasters
If you've got one guitar, a cable, and a computer, this entry-level bundle punches way above its price point. Highly recommended.

  • Good gear. Not fun to install. Steep learning curve. Worth the price.
Lol I gave this product 5 stars for thickness even though I'm not sure what that even means. This collection of sweet sweet musical swag is definitely a good buy for anyone without any recording gear but has a good PC and has always wanted to record. The gear itself is great! Everything works just fine and is pretty easy to use for the most part. I didn't realize there was a button you had to press on the inbox to hear the instrument plugged into it so my first night of trying to recorded ended with a disappointed me after resigning myself to the incorrect fact that I just wouldn't be able to hear myself play as I tried to record. They really do their best to provide step by step tutorials to set everything up but I must say the whole software process is seriously a pain. They explain there's 2 software options, one that's fast but not all that great and a second that lets you do all kinds of stuff but takes longer to download. Hmm, I wonder which one most people will pick. Turns out downloading that second option is more of an epic adventure than The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings combined. Seriously, it takes hours and having to sign up for several accounts for different services and several computer restarts. Don't expect to be recording anytime soon after you get your gear if you order this. Then even after you get it, the software is so complicated it definitely takes a while to get used to. I begged a friend that records his own music to come over and help one night and after a few hours, I was finally able to start recording on my own. That being said, if you have a good PC and always wanted to try recording at home, this is a good buy. The gear is good, installing the software is a pain, and it'll take a while to navigate the software once it's finally downloaded, but I'm happy with it and I spent most of today recording and am very happy I'm able to do so :) ... show more

  • Only Two Inputs?!?!?
So... I got this interface... I seen videos on YouTube talking about why not to get this interface with only one instrument input and one mic input. But, I'll tell you what... I am completely satisfied with it. I am a solo artist and the only instrument I wanted to plug in is my keyboard. I use a program for FL Studio 21: Producer Edition, for making beats and music. I had a problem with latency/sound lag, which cause my keyboard sound to be about 1/2 a second behind. When I pressed the keys on the keyboard it took a half second to feed through the program. I was told an audio interface would correct this issue. So I got the Focusrite Scarlett Solo Studio 3rd Gen, and I couldn't be happier. I got a bundle package, so it came with a mic and stand and pop filter etc. I got it on Amazon (Shout out to Amazon). If you're only looking to record a single instrument and vocals at the moment then why splurge for something bigger and more expensive? The quality of this interface is amazing and as I said "I am completely satisfied with it"! ... show more

  • Good stuff!
I’m just getting into voice overs, so to have this all in one kit is great. I get that it’s not the best, but it is a great set for beginning. It comes with software for music production, but it’s really not beginner friendly. Other than that everything works great!
