Description

High density foam has a compression rate of 44lbs. It features the perfect amount of cushioning and stiffness. Its soft but still holds its firmness and support for an individual to sit on it without compressing the foam too much. Compression = firmness compression (not density) is what determines firmness. If you dont want a cushion thats hard as a rock or a mattress that sinks when you sit on it, you have to check the compression or ild number. Compression means the number of pounds necessary to compress a piece of foam 25% and still bounce back to the original thickness. For example, a 4" thick piece of foam that requires 33 lbs. To pack it down 1" and have it return to its full 4" thickness has a 33 lb. Compression rating or (ild) -indention load deflection. All foam sheets are sold per sheet not per yard. Do not open with a box cutter. Use a ball point pen or a pencil. Start by making a little incision and break it from there durability : will last 7 to 10 years.

Super quality foam. I have purchased other foam in the past, and you could completely collapse the foam just by pushing it down with your hand. I am using this as support for dogs that i have in my care after orthopedic surgery. They need something that doesn't get too hot, supports well, and doesn't easily break down. This fits the checklist perfectly, and at great quality. Seller was SUPER accommodating to work with, shipping the foam so that I got it the very next day since I needed it ASAP. There's nowhere in our small town to purchase this product. We are using it to replace, then reupholster our boat cushions to place on top of our ice chests. The measurements were exact and our order arrived promptly the next day! Excellent quality, too, with the 4" high density foam! Just buy it!

When they say "high density" take them for their word. I bought this for a bunk bed that I built inside my camper. My 6 year old was thrilled to get her own bunk. The first night was awesome. The second night she woke up complaining it was too hard. I suppose too hard is better than too soft. I certainly got what I paid for. I am pleased with the product overall. It was easy to cut to size with my electric knife. It did arrive on time, however it was a bit soiled. It wasn't wrapped in plastic or anything. Just folded up in a box. I can add a softer foam on top to help with the firmness. I'd recommend this very much for replacing seat cushions but maybe something softer for a bed. ... show more

I purchased this to replace the aged and odor-filled foam in some cushions on my 29-year old boat. Amazingly this was the exact same thickness and what I imagine the original density must have been. Bought this to create a camping bed. Topped it with 2” memory foam, and it’s mire comfortable than my bed at home. 4” is plenty firm enough to keep my plus sized body off the hard plywood bed platform. I’m extremely pleased!!
