I like to buy foam to replace sofa seat covers. But, they need slight softening. This dacron poly fabric does the trick. Softens just enough to make a firm seat a bit easier to sit on and fluff out the cover.

Good loft in this batting, especially compared to other "barely there" offerings on Amazon. One complaint: The manufacturer instructions suggest wetting, then drying the batting to increase the loft. When doing so, DO NOT USE THE DEFAULT DRYER TEMP! When I dried it using my Kenmore Elite dryer default settings, it melted the surface of parts of the batting, reducing loft and forming permanent kinks in the batting. Either avoid the dryer altogether or use a low or no heat setting ... show more

Worked great for couch cushion repair. Puppy peed all over and I need to replace this stuff but not the foam cushion underneath. My advice is: WATCH THE TUTORIAL VIDEO the company created for you first. I found after watching the video, then cutting to fit, then the spray down, it worked best if I did one section at a time in the dryer. I needed to do each piece twice for best effect. So, it did take awhile. Some wrinkles didn’t come out but I bet if did it again in the dryer or ordered more, would be fine. I had exactly enough for three couch cushions. This Dacron batting is fully up to the weight specified, and firm enough to glue and stick to foam cushions. It does have a few folds and kinks from the packaging process, which are impossible to completely remove. I just let it air out for a few days and shook it repeatedly.

The batting I received was tagged as being 1-3/4" high, not 2" high as in the description. However it isn't 1-3/4 high either nor consistent in height. The process to re-inflate the batting is to spray it with water, massage firmly, and then place in the dryer with a dryer sheet until dry. No temp is specified. This is awkward to do with a 9 ft piece of batting. When I bought it, I thought it would just re-inflate over time. I can still use it, but really wanted the 2" tall batting. ... show more
