Protection wise, I am sure it's ok, but I won't know until I drop it. Please note - This case is purple it’s clear with purple tent in the back casing ! The sides and corner of the case are solid purple and not see. With that said I still love it. It’s not magnetic enough for the phone holder in my car. But luckily, I had a circular magnetic sticker that I was able to perfectly attach to the back. This case (I choose black for the color) makes my older Samsung Galaxy look like a brand new model. With so many different Galaxy models out there buying a case can be challenging. I don't want to pay $50 for a protective cover at the T Mobile store where I bought the phone. Thats why I choose to buy it here on Amazon. One thing you must do before ordering a new protective cover for your phone is make sure it fits your spicific model. To do that, simply go into settings on your device, then towards the end of settings tap About phone, from there scroll down until you see your model number. Write down the spicifics then search Amazon for that protective cover. I made the mistake of assuming all protective cases were the same. They are not!
