Features

The user named "K" (who's review has the subject line "Sketchy") obviously different bother to read the description, even before writing a crappy review, and that review is completely unfounded. There's nothing modified about this package - just a seller offering a nice, valuable combination of products in a box. This unit is awesome, and enabling the 4 other channels took less than 30 seconds by doing exactly what the seller prescribed in the product description. This seller is offering a unique package that brings the price of a highly capable ten-channel radio system down dramatically (thank you seller!). This product has lots of features but you don't have to be bothered if you don't need them. I've only tested it on my bench so far, but I can already see it's perfect for the project I bought it for, a transitioning VTOL drone/airplane I'm building from scratch. Especially for the price, I'm actually quite shocked at how customizable and capable it is, and it "feels" of pretty good quality too. And at 20 decibel-milliwatts transmit power, it should reach at least 2 miles on a good clear day in an open location (believe me, if it doesn't then I'll be back to let you know, but as an electronic engineer I'm already sure it will). This is a great RC radio and receiver. Not sure why most will spend 5 times more money on a more complex radio. This one does the job perfectly fine. The model I bought FS-i6x came with a 10 channel receiver. I usually only need 6 but this allows adding extra features for later on if needed. Receivers are inexpensive and easy to find and bind to radio. Right now I have 6 receivers for all the planes I have. Very simple interface to switch planes. The only thing I can complain about is the physical size. I would like to see a slightly larger shell. But this is a very minor point that does not alter my rating. ... show more

    • Soo many features at an unbeatable price
If you are looking for a first RC transmitter look no further. I cannot believe that so many features are packed into this transmitter for such a low price. 10 Channels and lots of customization. Also, it ships with 4 switches, 3 are 2-position and one is 3-position, however, you can upgrade any/all of those switches to 3-position and they immediately work - the PCB comes pre-wired for 3 position switches. ... show more

It value the money. However the plastic looks and feel very cheap (it is). Excellent for DIY'ers. If you want a more professional experience maybe it is not the controller you are looking for. Something that I disliked is the PS/2 connector to be in the back of the unit, making it fragile when laying back on a table. So far I am using it with a flight simulator. It's really adaptable to just about anything. I bought it to use with a flying wing I am building. After buying the flying wing kit I realized that I have never flown an rc airplane before so I bought a flight simulator and the FLYSKY FS-i6X works great! Contrary to what a lot of people have said, it works fine with the cable that comes with it with the flight simulator. I was going to buy the cable on Amazon that people said was needed but decided to try the cable that came with the transmitter first and found no problems in using it! ... show more

Not sure why there were many negative reviews about this item. But it worked like a charm for me. Receiver has 10 channels. After connecting battery, the receiver paired with the transmitter. Make sure your battery is atleast 7V. I initially tried with 3.7v lipo, which did not work, at which point, thought the item was faulty. But later switched with 7.4v lipo, and it worked like a charm. Instructions are not very clear on which channel the transmitter controls map to, but not very difficult to figure it out. Throttle stick is great, accelerates and decelerates nicely. Aileron, Rudder controls work nice too. I would give 5 stars for now. I am still making my plane. I will come back and update my review after flying it. ... show more

I did not expect this product to feel as solid as it does, so it surpassed my expectations. Features are bountiful for an entry level radio and even an advanced user may opt for this radio to save money. I plan to use it in my two motors four wheel crawlers to control each axle and motor independently. Will update this review as I dive into using this transmitter. ... show more
