We started playing with it inside but it works best for us outside. We got one orb for our 8 yr old twin boys to share. It was a success so we purchased a 2nd one so now they both have one. We have a large backyard and there is room to play and chase this flying toy. Handled properly it seems safe. I do not know how long these will last, but if treated properly may last awhile.the proper use takes a minute to figure out. Flying Orb Ball provides great entertainment. It’s easy to learn to control its movements. It was purchased as a gift for a 7 year old and she was able to master it in no time at all. The orb ball provided much fun and fascination for ages 4-67 years old. It bumped into walls but never damaged the paint or finish. On the plus side, it charged rather quickly…usually within 25 minutes. I love how it gets people off the sofa and moving. I would highly recommend this product. ... show more

I ordered this ball to motivate my students to complete work then get to take a brain break and play with the ball. I didn’t expect the ball to last as it looked fun but kind of delicate. Man it is not delicate it has been used a lot and keeps going strong. It’s not too hard that it would fly into anything and break it, and not so flimsy that it would easily break. It was pretty difficult to learn how to control it, but that didn’t make it any less fun to play with. My nephew loves it! ... show more

Browsing the internet for cool/unique gifts for my nephew led me to this flying ball toy and seeing my nephew and watching him play with this toy makes me satisfied with the purchase. Admittedly there was a slight learning curve, even for adults but fear not the toy is durable... which you will be glad to see since there will be numerous crashing to the wall/floor in store for this toy. Having to stop playing at the height of my nephew's excitement to tell him that Uncle must go and charge the ball isn't really becoming of the coolest uncle in the world. However, that isn't really the Toy's fault so i still am giving this toy 5/5-star rating. I Would take the time to get used to the flying pattern of the ball first and try to understand why its flying in such trajectories before handing it off so that you can properly teach your little one how to play most efficiently. Other than that, I would say that this is a MUST have for any parent looking to give their children a special gift that they won't tire of. ... show more
