If you want a loud exhaust setup, without unbearable drone, this is it. Definitely not the "Family Man's" muffler. The truck doesn't drone at 75-80 mph to where it drowns out the radio at conversation level volume, but you know it's there. At WOT it's down right mean sounding!! No popping or backfiring while revving it in park. The cold start is AWESOME, as well as the idle note. It is pretty loud at 5:00 a.m. when I start the truck, but I don't live in a neighborhood with close neighbors, so no issues here. But, I'd imagine "some" neighbors would have a problem. I've run a Magnaflow before and a Flowmaster 40. The Magnaflow was nowhere near as loud as I wanted. The Flowmaster 40 was better but not quite loud enough, so I ended up doing a exhaust cutout along with it. Then it was a bit too loud at times, but I was happy with it. This Outlaw setup is perfect. Its extremely loud when you wanna hear it and barely noticeable when you don't or are just cruising. Installation was really easy, as me and my 14 yr old son did it in about an hour or so. Just start at the Cat and work your way back, pipe section after pipe section. Hardest part was removing the stock exhaust from the truck to begin with. Definitely get a pair of Exhaust Hanger Removal Pliers and some penetrating lube spray if you don't already have some for the hangers and the clamp at the Cat. I used PB Blaster, but WD-40 would work too. Also I would recommend buying a new 3" clamp, instead of using the one from the old setup that connects the flex pipe to the Cat like the instructions say. Mine was pretty well rusted, but came loose with lube and an impact gun. I think they should have supplied a new one for how much the system costs. I feel that the extra $200 I paid for this system in Stainless Steel that's designed and tested, is far superior to having a muffler shop do it with regular tin pipes that's not computer designed for optimum flow. I know it's not cheap, but if you want excellent AGGRESSIVE sound, you'll love this Flowmaster Outlaw system. As you can see in the picture, I opted for the polished tips instead of the black. More my style. Very easy installation with a lift. Took exactly 2 hours and I did 90% of the work myself, with a little help from my shorter friends.... haha! I'm 6'4" with long arms and both of my buddies are 5'9" with short arms.... Anyway, the hardest part is Aligning everything before tightening it down. I really helps to have a lift and an exhaust hanger removal tool, also available on Amazon for $20. Well worth the money. Make sure all clamps are very tight and all pipe slots are covered by the clamps. No leaks, Sounds like a beast. Pretty significant drone at highway speeds especially in V4 mode. But I like it loud so that doesn't bother me at all. Highly recommended if you like aggressive sound and you have a little patience for lining everything up. 5 stars.

Relatively easy to install! Did it in my driveway in 3 hours. Sounds great. Mellow in the cab and aggressive on the outside when you stomp it. Would definitely pair with K&N air intake systems. I was pushing 24mpg at 75-80mph on windy Texas Roads. Deffinately have a programmer to turn off the v4 mode. Kills out the drone in v4 mode. But they also make cheap ones to plug into the OBD port for much less to turn off the v4. Sounds great. Not very aggressive if that’s that’s your looking for but I opted for the 3” pipe version. Wicked with a cold start. All in all worth that you pay by far!

Put this system on my 2014 GMC Sierra 1500. I was very pleased with the sound low deep and aggresive. Noticible in the cab but not enough to annoy you. Installation went great all the hangers were where they needed to be. I would recomend getting a new exhaust clamp though. Mine was very rusty i had to cut it off. Other than that this is a GREAT DEAL. Looks sweet and fierce. Would definitly recomend this system.

Installation was a breeze. The clamps fit just fine if you tighten them down enough. I used an impact wrench to finish them off. I had no issues with any breaking either. It took me and my father inlaw about 1.5 hours to remove the old exhaust and install the new, but he owns his own lift so it made it way easier. It sounds awesome. A little loud in the cab but mellows out at a cruising speed. Its a little rough when it switches into v4 but its not terrible.

I liked the way this exhaust system sounds. Very easy to put together especially if you have a lift. I would only recommend welding the exhaust tips onto the piece as they are very easy to take off even after tightening them down. It sucks because now I have to order a new tip for one of the sides, I assume that it fell off as I do not like to think people would steal such things.

Put this on my truck about two months and have been enjoying it. Very good external sound with very minimal sound in cab of truck. One of the hangers was a little to long when finished and was vibrating on the frame but easy fix and no problems. Very easy to install took me about an hour and a lift in my shop from start to finish.

It's is a very good product bit pricey but it's easy to install I did it myself in an hour. It has a deep throaty sound to it that's what I was looking for and has a nice rumble to it. Update this truck has only been through one winter with this exhaust on it and the flex pipe is gone not great quality for what they cost.
