Flowmaster's Outlaw axle-back exhaust system for the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro SS Coupe and Convertible is perfect for the person looking for a very aggressive exhaust tone inside and outside the vehicle, with all of the performance benefits that you would expect from Flowmaster. This easy to bolt-on emissions-legal system for the 6. 2L V8 features a pair of stainless steel Outlaw Series mufflers with 2. 50 inch stainless steel mandrel bent pipes. The system finishes off with polished 4. 00 inch stainless steel tips. This system does not fit models with the 'Dual Mode Exhaust' option. Like all Flowmaster systems the benefits include improved throttle response, power and mileage. The exhaust system is manufactured in the USA and is covered by Flowmaster's Lifetime Limited . Designed for an easy fit, this system includes all necessary parts and hardware for installation.

Flowmaster 817686 Outlaw 409S installed on Camaro SS Convertible. The exhaust was fairly straight-forward to install. You'll need two people (need to hold the stock system up when removing from rubber mounts). You also need to unbolt the cross brace so that you can slip the old exhaust under the brace and slip the new one into position (two bolts and very easy to unbolt the cross brace; this didn't add more than 60 seconds to the job). The instructions don't show anything about removing this cross brace but the stock exhaust is welded together so after you cut it out and remove from rubber hangers, you have to pull the entire system down as one unit. I installed this on my Camaro SS Convertible with jack stands (provided more clearance then ramps would have) and it took about 1.5 hours but a pro could probably do it in less. I am extremely satisfied with the performance and the sound. The tips look as good as the originals! I made a video of the sound before, then after I cut off the old exhaust and then with the new Flowmaster installed. The sound with no exhaust and with Flowmaster installed are very similar. Overall this improves the sound of your Camaro but it is NOT Harley Davidson loud. If you need it as loud as a classic car, you'll probably need to go with a catback system. I feel the advantage to this system over a catback system is that it's not overwhelmingly loud and there is little to no drone while you're driving at highway speeds. only reason for four stars is the amount of sound produced. being the outlaw series i assumed it would produce more sound and be louder overall. However, the quality of the sound is excellent and installation was a breeze with the proper tools it totaled all of 45 minutes. if you enjoy a deep aggressive tone and a sound like it should have been from the factory this is for you. ... show more

Liked the easy instal and look it gave my car campare to the big factory mufflers. However didn’t make my 2014 Camaro SS much louder than the stock mufflers.

This muffler is awesome! I had the Legato muffler prior and I ended replacing it due to the annoying "drone" sound at 2000 rpm and once I've replaced it with this Flowmaster Outlaw 409S, my 2015 Camaro sounds great with constant growl and no drone effect. My next project is to cut out the resonator and replace it with a Magnaflow X-pipe to make it more deeper growl without the back firing sound. ... show more
