  • Very easy install/ the sound is AMAZING!
Style: Base Product
Checked out every clip/ review on the net for axle back systems. I have had many hot cars from Ram Air firebirds 68 69, 99 TA ws6, twin turbo dodge stealth, thunderbird supercoupe, etc.... My favorite had been my RAIII firebird with long tubes, and only resonators. It was so deep loud, and thrilling just firing it up. Never got around to modding my 99TA, and always regretted that. I have a 2011 GT500 PP, which is the most capable car I have owned. It sounded great, and would be enough for any sane person. I on the other hand longed for that deep rumble/ scream of a muscle car. I did the install in my garage it took me longer than others, but I am old, and arthritic, as well as stopped for lunch. The hardest part of the install is taking the old muffs off. Without a lift I believe the easiest way to remove is to 1st loosen the muffler to pipe clamp just at the axle until muffler and pipe can separate, then remove back muffler rod from rubber grommet. Let old mufflers hang down so you can easily get to hanger bolts (three on left, two on right) take down old muffs with forward hanger brackets attached. reverse process with outlaws. VERY EASY. The sound is amazing! Loud and deep, and if you feel the need to stand on the "FUN pedal" it is fantastic! Best 2 hour mod I have ever done. I would say if you are planning on long tubes, or changing out cats, it would probably end up being too loud. If you are only going to do the axle backs they are perfect! ... show more

  • At 2k rpm it is kind of annoying (cruising in 5th gear)
Style: Base Product
Went on a 2011 Mustang GT. One muffler came with a large scratch across it. But whatever, it goes under the car. These things are LOUD. At 2k rpm it is kind of annoying (cruising in 5th gear). But under heavy acceleration these are just great. Very aggressive sound and construction is well done. The hardest part of the installation is getting the old mufflers off, which isn't all that hard. I've gotten quite a few compliments about the sound of my car. Great product imo. ... show more

  • Great Product, A reason why the rating is so high. A must have for a 5.0
Style: Base Product
Car: Mustang 2012 GT, 5.0, Premium, Automatic Purchase/Shipping: Intl Shipping from Amazon was fantastic and cheap. Quality: O.K. Black part easily scratched/dented. Handle with care. Tips look great, clamps in perfect position. Installation: Nice and easy, expect taking the factory parts off. Needs lots of WD40 and manpower to get them off. Sound: Slightly Booming during low revs (under 3K). Push on it and it sounds like a beast! Will shake up everything, including rattling the car interior. Don't punch it around cops for sure. Slight drone around 2K, sounds better when windows down, otherwise echoes in cabin. Very Very happy with the Sound/Quality/Value perspective. THANK YOU AMAZON ... show more

  • Sounds awesome when you are outside of the car
Style: Base Product
The drone king. Only drones below 2500 RPM.. So basically all the time. It is basically a muffler delete. Sounds awesome when you are outside of the car, but not so much inside. It really drones, but perfect for a show car. Really deep rumble. If you are gentle with the pedal, you can cruise out of the neighborhood with out pissing off your neighbors. It looks great. The fitment is not as precise than others, but can be tweaked to have a perfect spacing at the exit valance. ... show more

  • Overall an expensive purchase/install BUT it sounds SO good that I am very happy with them
Style: Base Product
I paid $150 for muffler shop to install them including some mods on pipes to make fit. Overall an expensive purchase/install BUT it sounds SO good that I am very happy with them. Definitely an attention getter. I need to drive a bit mellower in my neighborhood now but everyone says they sound great. They are louder than you think from inside the car, but it is a sweet rasp, baddest when you gas it. If you are already looking at these kind of pipes, you will be very happy. Separately, Amazon allowed me to order from a company that turned out to no longer be real, wasting 9 days before the reorder got restarted correctly. Bad system but they discounted enough to make me happy still. 👍 ... show more

  • Flowmaster Outlaw Series - 2013 Mustang GT Axle Back
Style: Base Product
The system is loud....period. It has drone and it is prevalent in the cruising RPM range. Under full throttle it is awesome. Overall I have just gotten a bit older (42) and such a setup is no longer ideal for me. I prefer quality sound throughout the entire RPM range (organized noise) as opposed to just loud Harley Davidson Blap Blap Blap and aggressive thunder at wide open throttle. The system is still awesome and the install is quite easy. I installed without raising the car whatsoever. Fastlane!! ... show more

  • Holy loud Batman!
Style: Base Product
This exhaust is borderline ridiculous in how loud it is. There is no comparison to stock, it's leagues away from stock. I have this on my 2012 Mustang GT convertible, and between 2-3k RPM the sound resonates to a point that my brain hurts. Under that or above it and it's amazing. There's pops and crackles when you let off the gas, it almost sounds sad when you get off the gas :). I haven't taken it on the highway yet, hoping it's not resonating like it is on main roads. Also not sure if there is a break in period. I may have to swap this for something like the Ford Racing GT500 which is louder than stock but not this. Last point to add is I have no other mods on the car to make this louder/softer. Headers/cat back are all stock, and there are no other engine mods outside of a K&N air filter. ... show more

  • Awesome exhaust
Style: Base Product
Flowmaster gives you the classic muscle car sound! Took me about 30 minutes to install, no problems. Hardest part is removing the stock mufflers from the hanger supports. Having a friend help you yank on the mufflers helps too. The Outlaw series does drone on my '11 GT but it's not bad, you just stay away from cruising at 2k RPMs. In my opinion all exhaust has some sort of drone you just work around it, no biggie. Seems I lost 1/2 MPG, small price to pay for much improved sound. I noticed a slight increase in performance, the car seems to pull easier. Great exhaust!! ... show more
