Hard to rate this one. Resaler was just fine. The kit itself...hum. First, one of the hangers was missing from the kit, but after a phone call, Flowmaster is sending me the missing part with no hassle. That's a draw. The kit itself is of nice quality, though some of the tube ends were a bit bent. But the shipper did have their way with the box which was large and heavy. So packaging could have been better. The instructions were OK, but could have had some better details like which way the H-pipe is to be oriented (angling down from the mufflers BTW) and which holes in the rear hanger to use in the lower frames holes (upper hanger holes BTW). The EC has stock air shocks in the rear and the over axil pipe ends up pretty close to the plastic fittings to keep the tail exit pipes straight with the body. This may end up melting the plastic shock air lines if there is no heat shielding added. Going to put some header wrap on there, but time will tell. The last was the kit was supposed to be a direct fit for a '67 El Camino. It is...after you go to the autoparts store to buy a couple of extensions and additional 2-1/2" clamps since the El Camino has a longer wheel base and it comes up about 3" or 4" short at the muffler outlet going over the rear axil. The rear clamps/hangers do not line up with the factory frame holes either and the tips are a few inches short of the back bumper (more extensions and clamps). This is all OK and fixable, but a heads up would be nice or maybe an EC supplement kit. I spent some money on a direct fit kit to avoid that kind of bother. In the end, it sounds exactly how I wanted with my little 283. It has a nice low grumble and a bit of bark without being obnoxious. The sound and quality are the long term aspect, thus it's a 4 star, -1 for installation hassle/fit. ... show more

good tight fitting pipes. clamp system kind of cheesy. good hangers,. had to squash down the crossover pipe to keep the drive line from banging on it, if you dont weld you might need to cut slits in some of the outer pipe connections to get them to clamp tight... also you may need 2.5 to 2.5" ID connectors to hook your collectors to these. ... show more

Installed on 65 Chevelle with a 350. Sounds fantastic! Ran into issues with the installation as the instructions call for the wrong mounting bracket. Called Flowmaster and they helped me through the issue. I ended up having to use the bracket for a 67-72 Chevelle.
