So I pretty much have never written a review...like ever! But I had to write one about this bag because it is perfect! I have been looking fir a leather tote for about 6 months. I purchased several different ones at Nordstrom and other places (the Madewell transport tote included) and I returned all of them. But this one is better than all of them and I love love it. At first when I pulled it out of the the box I liked the look but it felt a little stiff and thick and the straps were a little stiff and thick as well. I decided to go with it anyways. So glad I did because just by using it for 2 weeks it has become so soft and the color is perfect and the straps are no longer stiff! I love it so much and I don't want the smell to ever go away! I will say for anyone interested, that I don't totally love the bottomless pit Mary Poppins feel of huge totes that droop down, so I took one of those thin firm base shapers from another purse and put into the bottom of mine so it doesn't droop down (you could also just cut a piece of cardboard in a rectangle and use that as well!). If your looking for a tan leather tote that will last and is able to be dressed up or dressed down, then get this one! ... show more

As a former bag maker, I am very particular about leather and stitching. Both get an A+ here. (No chemical smells either, as another reviewer noted. And I have a very sensitive nose.) While I would have preferred a more oiled veg tanned leather... that marked up easily for a lived-in look... this will wear well and develop a patina over time. The bag's top is a raw edge, which lends a lovely rustic feel. The straps are thankfully double-layer leather, stitched and sturdy. A nice box stitch, on each handle's base, attaches it the the bag and gives it a higher-end feel. Another pricier (made-not-so-well) brand does an X stitch where the straps attach to the bag body and does not have double-layer leather straps or straps that are stitched - both cheap shortcuts. This is SO much better quality. Also, the designer took care to stitch the inside zip pocket onto the stitching of the straps, so there is no extra random stitching on the bag's body from a pocket being attached internally. All in all, expert touches that make me very happy! Would love this offered in a deep wine or black or as a zip-top. I would buy them all! Great for a work bag. I will note the bag does appear wider in person than the more vertical orientation of the Amazon photos, but it fits my oversized laptop horizontally, so fine by me! :) ... show more

Just received my Floto Piazza Tote Bag. Measurements are 14x13x4, not quite as advertised. Single stitching all the way around, inside the extra stitched leather is folded on both ends and superglued--one side is ungluing. There's no scent to the bag I received the one plus. Inside is the single zip pocket, attached and stitched with one side of the handles only, the zip pocket hangs there, doubtful it can carry the weight of a wallet, phone, keys, etc. The bag feels small, not the big juggernaut that was falsely advertised. Too expensive to be shorted inches, imho. The leather is dyed a gorgeous deep dark green, more like a forest green or deep moss green. Returning the bag, no response from seller or Amazon CSR, $129 is too expensive to charge for an unfinished, smaller raw leather bag. ... show more

Everything about this bag is amazing. I had high hopes and they have all been met. The reviews I read prior to purchase, reported "stinkiness". This concerned me a little, but I took a chance anyways. Fortunately, there is nothing more than the usual smell from leather goods. Much rejoicing! : ) I decided to show a side-by-side comparison of my Duluth Trading Co. briefcase and all purpose bag (both of which I love). These two were really stinky and kind of still are almost 4 years later. It is a hide. Ergo weirdie smell. The new Floto tote is precisely the color I was hoping the other two would be, and I am so very pleased that it is exactly as shown in the pics on Amazon. I absolutely love this bag. It's the perfect size to fit all my stuff.The leather is beautiful,organic and is softening everyday.There was a leather smell the first day but after airing it outside for a day then in the garage at night, the leather smell had subsided. Now it smells nice. I even put a dryer sheet inside the bag the help it along. The smell isn't horrible, just smells like real animal leather. I'm super happy about my purchase amd excited about how the bag will soften and age gracefully. I love it so much that I'm looking into the other leather products from floto like the duffle bag and/or wallet. I'm so in love. ... show more
