I'm sorry, I really wanted to like this tool... however... I can't say that it works for me. I've tried it on multiple soils and on multiple ground conditions. Mainly, I even tried to use it in my growbox soil (for small seed potatoes) and it still wouldn't pierce the soil. I got this tool because of all the positive reviews because I needed something like this to work. But for me, it did not work to make more than a two inch depth. it seems the blade is not actually sharp enough to sink into the ground. Sadly, I'm thinking of returning it because I'm so disappointed with how poorly it did. I don't know why everyone else seems to give it high reviews. Maybe the one I got was just a dud.

This tool is so very helpful when planting flowers & bulbs. The measure on the side of the tool helps to accurately measure the depth required when planting the bulbs. I wish i had purchased this handy tool long ago! A great purchase!

This little tool saved me a lot of effort. If I needed a larger hole, I just did it two or three times. Everything in the hardware stores was more expensive for something I only use once a year.
