I did a deep dive into flooring options for our kitchen remodel and considered all options. I needed a flooring that would cover the kitchen floor in addition to a hallway, bathroom and laundry room, over 420 sq ft. Needing a flooring solution that is extremely durable, waterproof, comfortable to stand on for long periods of time and low maintenance I narrowed my choice to luxury vinyl plank (LVP). I did a detailed comparison of 6 different LVP flooring products and the Modin Rigid was a clear winner. It has twice the wear layer thickness (40 mil) of its nearest competitor, nothing else came close. I like the fact that the slight texture is embossed "in register" so it matches the natural grain of the wood perfectly. All other products appear flat and not very natural looking. The edging on all four sides gives it a natural plank look. I also like the fact that the body of the flooring in limestone and PVC, no wood fillers or bamboo dust so it is solid. There is a foam backing which eliminates the need for any additional underlayment, reducing installation time and cost. The cost is very reasonable. The samples I ordered have a solid, quality feel compared to any other product on the market. I could not find any significant negative comments on this product compared to the competitors. Customer service was excellent. Devin Scott at Flooret answered all my questions. Most of the competitors would not share technical information to the detail I wanted to make my decision. As a retired engineer I still make decisions based on data and these folks at Flooret know their product. This is the product to measure all other LVP flooring products against. Though ultimately decided to purchase from a different source (largely down to size of our budget and the cost of the full Flooret product - which I'm sure is worth it, was out of our current range), the Flooret samples were very professionally produced and the samples came well-packaged and quickly. After many years, I’m finally replacing the carpet in my ground floor bonus room which sits on a concrete foundation. I had been searching for Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring for nearly 12 months. I was considerably underwhelmed by the quality of offerings at the big box stores. Thank God I stumbled upon countless glowing Flooret reviews on Houzz. I ended up ordering 11 Flooret Modin Rigid Signature samples over multiple orders, some via Amazon and others directly from Flooret. The flooring color often looks totally different from online photos depending on your light source so you really need to view all samples in your own home at different times of day. As with all the LVP brands I sampled over the past year, I was also able to scratch my Flooret samples with a nail. But, am I really going to walk around dragging nails across my floors? Heck, we don’t even wear street shoes in the house. Thus, I focused on the 40 mil wear layer as well as the overall thickness of the board and Flooret’s quality is head and shoulders above the rest. Flooret Modin Rigid Signature is a excellent quality product at a reasonable midrange price point. Btw, there is a very active Facebook discussion group where past customers share their experiences and post candid photos of the product. I ultimately purchased the Ashford color and am anxiously awaiting my bulk order. Very excited! ... show more
