The house I bought haa ceramic flooring and these two areas had "raw" edges that did not have a "finished" look to them. I was originally going to put a a rigid transition strip down, but it had a 3/8ths inch height and I wanted something flatter to avoid tripping on it. I knew I could find something on good old Amazon with the right key words, and low and behold I found this flat, flexible roll. It is soft, easy to install, has not moved or lifted in 3 months. It's a straight up 5 stars. It matches the tile color well. You'll be happy with the results!

Inexpensive quick option for transition between floors but it does stretch and contort in a way that may make it difficult for straight lines. Once it's down it's down so adjustments may not work out. Don't think it's a long-term solution for high traffic areas but it works for now.

I bought this as a transition between two rooms with different tile / floors were the same height. I found the adhesion was not great. I cleaned the floor very well but the strip would not stay flat at the edge of the door. I used a weight to see if it would stay flat but it still didn't work.

This vinyl transition appears to work well as a cover for my wooden front door threshold. The house is 95 years old and most hardware departments no longer carry a metal replacement. This vinyl strip happened to be the perfect width and was low enough to fit snugly beneath the door bottom. Since it is 10 feet wide it is more than enough for my 42-inch wide door. For now, it appears to adhere very well to the wood surface after it is thoroughly cleaned. Time will tell!
