    • Beyond cheap. Don’t buy!

This frame is beyond cheap. The way you have to put it together is awful and I ended up poking a hole in my canvas with the screwdriver trying to hold the canvas in place from the front, while placing the screws through the back. All while having to hold this upright. It makes me sick! This is a drawing of my son by my sister that I can’t replace! Don’t buy this! ... show more

First I didn’t realize I would have to put it together but it came with great instructions and pieces to do it. The quality was great, real metal not plastic. The color cold is very pretty. If you see in the picture the painting looking off it’s because it’s an old canvas my dad painted and got a bit wrapped over the years. However the frame is so pretty you can hardly tell. Oh and it’s not heavy , it’s a light weight metal! Made it easier to hang without needing mollies! ... show more

I bought a mid century abstract oil painting at a charity shop more than two decades ago. The painting has hung on the wall unframed all that time. Finally decided to do something about that and bought this frame. It was easy to put together. The painting looks great and you would never know it only cost seven bucks originally. I like these. Relatively easy to assemble, finding the “perfect” corner can be difficult. But (I bought three 16x20 frames) most of the pieces had some scratches, most of which should have been rejected. The scratches pictured are some of the worst. Plus, it looks like the hole drilling process left a number of flakes/pieces of aluminum on the frames which should have been removed before shipping. These didn't affect my use because I planned on painting them anyway. Last, one set of the “corner” pieces to fix the pieces in place was missing its screws.
