This is what you would expect. The pink is a pretty color, and nice and bright. It comes with two wrist holds - one that floats, and one that is just a normal fabric one. This is nice because you don't have to keep the floating one on all the time, or keep threading the connector through the phone each time you want to use it. I wouldn't keep the connector on all the time anyway, but if you are on vacation, this is useful since you might be switching back and forth. I've had others of these in the past, and this is pretty much the same as those. You can tighten and loosen the floatation portion that goes around your wrist, which is important, but the fact that it'll float if it comes off is the most important part. Seeing as this is like others I have had that came with two for a similar price, it seems a little pricey, but it works and appears to be of good quality.

The build quality seems pretty solid. I’ll be testing it in open water in a few weeks and will update this review with performance details after that. The flotation band can be pulled firmly taut and holds its shape well under tension. It's a bit hard to show its strength visually since it's more of a feel thing, but I included a photo of it wrapped tightly around a soda can. The can was visibly indented all the way around. It could’ve been tightened even more, but that would’ve turned it into a tourniquet. That said, it's still easy to loosen up if needed. It comes with two straps and two camera loop clips. The clips make it quick and easy to attach or detach the wristbands. The flotation loop should fit most wrist sizes. Men with larger hands might need to unloop it to slip it on, but if the camera is already attached, re-looping it is simple. The fabric is soft, and the inner core feels cushy but dense and firm. The stitching on the camera strap side looks strong enough to easily support a 280g camera. I would’ve liked to see a second row of stitching on the loop end for added durability, but the existing stitch seems solid so far.

I ordered this for use with my phone (in a waterproof float bag) for when I'm on the lake. I have several float bags, but don't quite trust them on their own. I've never had anything sunk, but I've had it dip below enough of the water to not be able to see it clearly. Well, this float lanyard solves that issue! This thing is BRIGHT pink - I always look for colors that will be contrasting enough to see on or in dark water - and almost glows. My second choice colors would have been the neon yellow or green. Also, it is HUGE! Like, for underwater camera enthusiasts, it is probably perfect. You can wear it on your wrist, and it's got a bit of stretch, and it's super easy to see! There is no doubt in my mind that this float will work great with any camera or phone. I've had similar float lanyards that were half the size that worked pretty good, but this is like Polska kielbasa ring size!!! I'm joking, but it's BIG. This isn't a "take a stroll on the beach" while wearing this for miles at a time. I mean, it could be - it's light enough - but it's a bit bulky for me. But for my purpose, while IN the water, it does exactly what I want it to do, and that's protect my device from sinking. There's also a locking clasp attached to it so you can unhook your device, or whatever you attach this float to, to make it easier to use in tight spaces or weird angles. I have no worries that it might accidentally come unclipped, because you have to pinch in 2 tabs to get it to release. I think the price is perfect for this floaty wristlet lanyard. Around $10 to save a several hundred dollar device is a steal! Think of it as insurance. :)

Works exactly like you'd hope. I tested it with my GoPro in the waterproof housing and it floated just fine, even with a small light attached. It’s not meant to float a brick, but for basic setups it does the job. The strap is comfortable and easy to spot in the water. Good to have some peace of mind when you're out on the lake or in the ocean.

Whether I’m kayaking or snorkeling, this strap gives me the confidence to bring my waterproof camera without fear of losing it to the deep.
