  • Cool natural wall covering!
Size: 4' x 8'
This is a great product that is fairly easy to work with, as long as you have 2 people for larger pieces. To flatten the cork, I simply laid it out on a plastic drop cloth, sprayed it lightly with water, covered it with a tablecloth and applied light pressure. It can be a little fragile however, if you don't hold it on the end, it is easy to work with. I applied it to a painted sheetrock wall and used Mastic to apply it. Works really well! Additionally, it provides a sound barrier. ... show more

  • Very decent quality corkboard
Size: 4' x 6'
This roll of corkboard is rather great quality for being flexible. It's sturdy and doesn't tear easily. There's no crumbling either, showing that this isn't dry but instead nice and rubbery. The total surface area that you get is a great value for the cost. The material cuts nicely too, which makes it great for projects. Overall it's a great buy for crafts or workspaces. ... show more

  • Large Roll of Cork
Size: 4' x 6'
This cork roll is large. The quality of the cork seems good but it is thin. The roll itself is rather fragile and easy to tear. I am using the cork for backs of resin coasters and it works great for that. It was easy to glue to the bacls of the coasters. It looks natural and can be used for a variety of crafts, unless you need something thicker. ... show more

  • A wonderful, beautiful material; respect it
Size: 4' x 6'
This roll of cork came tightly wound and well protected in a cardboard box. There was almost no cracking, just a pair of <2” cracks at the outside end of the roll. It was clear that unrolling it was going to take some time. I put an old sheet on a large work table and carefully peeled off the end tape by lifting the edge with a razor knife and folding it back over itself. Peeling slowly and going with the roll across its end, the tape came away without taking any cork with it. I used a clean spray bottle filled with water to lightly mist the outside of the roll and waited. After 20 minutes, I misted the roll once more, this time spraying the inside as well as I gradually unrolled it. I found it useful to have a small towel to mop up excess spray. When the roll seemed too stiff, I put paperweights on it and waited for the misted roll to soften. Once I had enough unrolled, I put a 2x4 under the cork, pressed a metal straightedge down and cut the cork with a razor knife. I'm putting edging around the top of a coffee table and laying a sheet of the cork on top, into the perimeter formed by the edging. Be sure to wait for the cork to dry again before cutting a larger piece. I'll post a picture when I'm finished. I'm also using some scrap to recondition some cork-lined coasters which have seen better days. I know musicians who use cork for repairs so I'll offer them some. I put some cork under speakers which vibrated on the shelf and this solved the problem. This cork is excellent for these uses and I'll probably discover others. It is durable, consistent in texture and color, and a wonderful natural material. It is not too challenging to work with if you respect its properties. ... show more

  • Don't cork up your creativity
Size: 4' x 6'
I got this for doing hobby projects like model building and dioramas and it's working great for that, feels like more material than I'll ever need! Definitely good if you want it in bulk for that kind of work. Should be good for doing things like making cork boards too though. It's quite a large roll and quality seems to be good. It is a natural material that dries out though so it does take some patience and care to work with the roll. Haven't had any issues when following the manufacturer's instructions on how to work with it though. ... show more

  • Large square footage, thin piece of natural cork. Arrived damaged.
Size: 4' x 6'
CATEGORICAL GRADING Presentation/Packaging: D - arrived damaged Quality/Materials: C (not very dense) Design/Craftsmanship: C Price/Value/Worth: C Functionality/Versatility: C Instructions/Ease-of-Use/Comfort: C Marketing vs Reality: C Utility Grade (how useful it will be to me): C (Where “C” = Average) PROS: natural look, large size CONS: sparsely compacted, a bit dry Current Amazon price: $44.28 (a bit pricey) COMMENTS: This is a 6 foot long, 4 foot wide roll of 3mm (slightly < 1/8”) of loosely compressed natural cork. It is a bit dry and brittle IMO and arrived with one end a bit crumpled with flakes of cork broken off. This thin of cork can be used as a liner for a tool box or other drawer and perhaps as wall covering, but not much else without double stacking. Though dry, it is still self-healing for pin pokes, but is too thin to be used as pin board without some compensatory backing. Because it is a large surface area, one can cut any number of shapes or forms from it using a box cutter or some other blade (Xatco knife, etc.). PRECISE RATING: 3 (decent at doing what I need, would probably do further research, but then perhaps buy again) RECOMMENDATION: It is a decent piece of cork and if your project calls for large piece(s) of 3 mm cork, I can recommend it if the price is competitive at the time. (As always, I will report back if there are any durability or performance issues with additional use.) PHOTO INFO (photos are loaded in order, but may be rearranged when finally posted): 1) Damaged end of roll 2) Edge shot Thank you for taking the time to read this review. I hope you found something informative and useful in it. Good luck with your decision. ... show more
