This is my first time having a standing desk and I love how quiet the motor is, the fact that I can save 3 heights, the amount of leg space, and that this desk goes up to 50". I'm in medical school, so I am on my desk for hours studying and doing work. I used to have a non-standing desk and I would be sitting down for hours on end which would cause me back pain and lead me to become easily fatigue. With this desk, the option of standing up is not only beneficial to my health but wakes me up, helps me be more productive, and has helped diminished my back pain during study sessions. The desk does come in separate packages (2) as stated in other reviews. The legs arrived first and the desktop arrived the next day. It is easy to assemble following the instructions, though you will need help to attach the desktop as it is VERYY heavy. I love that the order comes with cable organizers to attach to the bottom of the desk so that the under the desk space does not look crazy with cables.     • Electronics stopped working completely

After less than a day, the electronics for the desk suddenly stopped working completely. I had left home and came back to the control display being off and none of the buttons working. Unplugging and replugging all of the different cables didn't help. 3-day update: Customer support was quite helpful and offered to replace the faulty electronic parts, as well as offer a partial refund. I've updated this rating for now since I had a pleasant experience with the support; will update again once I verify that the replacement parts work. 1-week update: I received the replacement parts and now the desk once again is working properly -- everything feels very sturdy while still supporting a VIVO dual-monitor desk mount with two 30-inch displays. If not for the malfunction, I would have been 100% happy with this desk. However, given that they were quick to fix the problem at no cost, I'll rerate my review to 5 stars. ... show more

If you are patient the assembly instructions are very good. It took me about 3 hours to assemble, but I am 79 yrs old. The desk is very sturdy and smooth operating. This model is the E4 mahogany, duel motors, 55"x28", which is a very good size. Very happy with this purchase. You will need a drill to add a few starter holes. I just used a screwdriver to put in all the other screws. Be careful how deep you drill so you do not go through the desk top. I put tape around my drill bit at the desired depth I want. Holes do not have to be very deep to start the screws. ... show more

I am very happy for my desk! It was definitely easy to assemble, following the instructions was very easy because the needed parts were highlighted which was very convenient. Love that I can save three different height presets! If you're not sure if to get this or not, GET IT! you will love it!

Very sturdy design. Took about an hour to out together. The top is solid heavy piece covered in vinyl that imitates wood-look very nicely. The product ships in two boxes. I received them separately in different days. Which was worrisome as Amazon had said both boxes were delivered together on the first day. It all worked out in the end. I bought this Stand Up desk for cutting fabric for quilting. Works great, fairly easy for 2 of us to put together. Hubby and I are both late 70's and it didn't take us very long to put together. It is very heavy and we did struggle to get 1 of the boxes down the stairs to the basement. The box with all the pieces, I opened and carried down several pieces at a time. The table top was not as heavy so managed to get that down the steps easily. I am going to love this desk, can't wait to get to it. ... show more

I've fallen in love with using my sit/stand desk at work but I didn't want to compromise on quality for a home version and I couldn't spend thousands of dollars. My friend has the 48in version and she loves hers, even so, I was nervous going up to the 60in version. I received this yesterday, and assembled it today. I'm impressed already. It was well packed, the instructions were easy to follow and it took less than an hour to assemble by myself. It is heavy in the package, and to move when fully assembled so I did need my wife to help with that. The motor is smooth and much quieter than my desk at work. I believe this will hold up for many years, and the cost on sale was a steal for the quality. I believe it meets or exceeds the quality of my work desk, for less than $400 dollars.     • Sturdy And Attractive

I bought this desk to replace a 55" Vivo desk that I've had for 16 months. When I replaced two 24" monitors with a 49" wide screen monitor, the weight increase was significant. In standing position, the Vivo desk had more "give" that I was comfortable with. The FLEXISPOT advertised a much higher weight capacity, and I liked the idea of dual motors that were advertised as being quieter and more powerful. The only difficulty with assembling the desk was the weight of the legs. I was able to handle it solo, but wouldn't hurt to have an extra set of hands. The instructions were straight-forward, and all necessary hardware was included. A couple of the pre-drilled screw holes for attaching the desktop to the legs were a little off, but that was a minor issue. With the large monitor, the FLEXISPOT desk has a much more solid feel than the Vivo desk in standing position. The dual motors are a little quieter than the Vivo's single motor, but the difference to me is negligible. The dual motors seem to strain when raising the desk to standing position. It's possible that they deliberately slow when they're near the target height... height is always spot on. The FLEXISPOT is giving me the sturdiness that I was looking for, and I didn't find the $499 price unreasonable. I've only had the desk a couple of weeks, so time will tell ... but so far, so good. ... show more
