The desk has really good quality and looks awesome. All parts make a solid impression. But I had to learn something important about desks. I'm 5'7" and my optimum desk height is 27.4. Just google for "optimal desk height calculator" to get yours. In the picture it shows that the lowest configuration of this desk is 28". But in fact it is 29", because the 1" desk plate is not included in this measure. 29" is the optimum desk height for someone 6 feet tall. Why would anyone build a height adjustable desk that doesn't go as lot as 25" or so? After googling more, I always ended up with professional office equipment that costs between $600 and $1000 for a desk that can be configured from 24" to 50". Those desks have three staged columns whereas the Flexispot has two stage columns. That's much less expensive to build. Now you understand why the Flexispot is cheaper than a professional desk. I ended up keeping it anyways and bought a "keyboard desk tray undermount" to get the keyboard on a height that's comfortable for me. I had an issue with the desk and was really happy with the Flexispot customer support. Although I think that a 29" desk doesn't make sense in general, I rated it with 4 stars, because almost all desks in this price range (height adjustable or not) are 29" high, because the quality is really good and because of the support. ... show more

What's to say about a standing desk which has a good motor once it's put together? It works. It goes up and down like it's supposed to. Enamel on metal parts is even, smooth, feels thick, looks good. Desktop completely vibration-insulated from frame by rubber washers for the screws (using speakers won't turn the frame into a sounding board). Desktop itself feels good, kind of silky-smooth but my mouse is happy tracking over it (not too shiny, a little texture). No rough edges anywhere. I'm sure I could find a seam in the plastic veneer wrapped around the top, to shield the particle board edges, but I haven't noticed it. Unpacking & putting it together showed a company that CARES about it's product. Pre-drilled holes were where they needed to be. All the screws fit where they were supposed to. No forcing pieces into place because the two "matching" holes didn't. Really easy. Stable -- both legs the same length without fiddling. Heavy gauge steel made the box heavy, but it was worth lifting! It was the packaging which really blew me away and proved that they care. They didn't cut costs. The corner protectors for the desktop were good enough for a valuable piece of art. All the steel pieces fit snuggly in their places, nothing rattling around. Each enameled part plastic-wrapped as well. No way any parts could have dings or chips. A couple of potential improvements: Pre-drilled holes for the power supply and the beam support would be helpful. No big deal for me, but someone who didn't have a drill handy would have trouble. I did have a bad moment thinking I'd drilled through the top, but didn't. And recyclable plastic bags, please. I felt bad tossing all that never-decompose stuff in the garbage. ... show more

This desk is so freaking awesome. I put it together almost by myself in about 40 minutes. Having a second person was helpful for a couple of steps where you had to balance the heavy legs. It works REALLY well. The mechanics are very quiet, simple to program, and the desk can go from sitting to standing in under 12 seconds. It has 3 pre-programmed settings so you can have sitting and then 2 standing heights for 2 different people. You can also just adjust it manually. Another nice thing is that you can use the provided tabletop, but you could also use any desktop if you wanted something a little bit higher-quality or even just something that matched your room better. The tabletop provided is very functional, large, but not beautiful. This has been perfect for quarantine remote work and I have recommended it to many friends. ... show more

This desk is difficult to put together. The directions are terrible. I hate having to guess at where things should go - for example, I figured I should center the legs on each side, but then realized I wouldn't have enough room to add an under mount keyboard. It took me about an hour to assemble it. Once it was together, I was happy with it, and the motor seemed to work well. But then I put my computer on it and realized that the whole top was tilted. One side of the desk was 2 inches higher than the other. Turns out, one leg was longer than the other. The legs come pre-assembled, so this was not an error on my part. And there Is no way to fix the problem. I considered returning the desk, but was deterred by the fact that I would be forced to spend an hour disassembling it, then packing it back up in the box, re-taping it, somehow carrying the extremely heavy box to my car by myself, driving it 20 minutes to the nearest UPS store, and somehow getting it into the store by myself (this was the only option offered to me by the seller). In the end, I kept it and have to prop up one leg. I would not recommend this desk. Also, I purchased the under mount keyboard tray from the same seller, and had the same problems other reviewers had - the screws were too small for the shallow, pre-drilled holes. The media could not be loaded. Faulty product. Had lot of issues assembling it and after assembling one if the leg is not stable.

Product was shipped in 2 boxes that arrived at different times which caused some concern initially. After assembly and using it for 2 months I am completely satisfied with this purchase. It works like a champ and I usually raise/lower it 4x per day. I’m 6’4” and I have to raise it to the max height for standing. It could go a little higher if I used the risers in the support legs too but not much. Great for home office and keeps me feeling energized and not slumping in my chair all day. ... show more
