The desk itself is nice. It's roomy, sturdy, well built, moves well, and overall I'm pretty happy with it. But the assembly instructions are the absolute worst! I've no idea how they could've screwed up so badly. I've attached 2 pictures showing how it's wrong and what you need to do instead. There's 2 sections on each tabletop board where there's 6 holes in a row all closely together: that's where the motorized control panel gets attached so it's meant to be on the inside of the desk where your chair would go. The assembly instructions show this on the outside in multiple parts and that is WRONG. Ensure you have them on the inside where the chair would go (ignore all the images of the boards), and you'll be set and most of the holes should all align afterwards. And make sure you have two people, it's hard flipping the desk over by yourself.

I assembled my desk yesterday and it feels sturdy and the controls to change the desk elevation work perfectly. This desk works great with the exercise bike I purchased, so I can now exercise and work at my computer at the same time. Now for the downsides. First off, the desktop is shipped separately from the frame. So, don't start assembly until both boxes arrive. Second, the instructions have typos about what components to use and where. Imagine my surprise when it asked me to use the same screws in 2 separate spots and didn't provide enough screws to do so. You will have to look at the screws on-hand and determine where they are used without the help of the instructions. Third, the pre-drilled holes in the desktop do not match the frame and the instructions. Some of the holes do but be prepared to have to drill about 1/4 of the holes yourself. Honestly, this feels like they tried to make a "one size fits all" desktop and failed miserably. Heck, the holes don't even match up with the brackets that came with the desktop! Before you assume that I built everything incorrectly, let me just say that I tried many different orientations for the desktop and the one I chose had the most matching holes.

Purchased this for my home office. It really rejected what I wanted in a chair. Instructions were poorly designed. My husband searched for videos, and while they existed for almost every desk, not one other on line for this model. He had a hard time getting it together, but he did. Ships as two pieces and heavy. It is very stable, and I love being able to stand or sit and adjust. The L makes it a great desk from which to work. Set up so that I can look outside at the lake, and spacious desk space. Ordered the largest one. I wanted a bamboo top, however the black works just fine, and cost less. After it was put together, I really like it. Memory settings and stand alarms are a great feature.

After reading some of the reviews I was very nervous about the installation process. Once I received the product (2 boxes) I set to work unboxing and beginning the assembly process. I had some good music and put it together completely in an hour and a half by myself (I am not a professional product assembler by any means, nor particularly tall). These instructions are far clearer than IKEA instructions. This product is extremely well made and well constructed. The part that took the longest was securing the desktop to the frame - there are a number of pre drilled holes for ease - but where you end up screwing in the screws doesn’t always align with the pre drilled holes based on how you desire to lay out the top. It is not hard AT all to drill in the screws without holes with a manual screwdriver, though it is of course way easier with a drill. The frame is completely assembled by an Allan wrench that they include and all the parts and screws are impeccably labeled. Upon completion, the desk rises and lowers flawlessly - is very sturdy and stable, and does not rock or wiggle AT ALL. I am very very pleased!!!

I bought this desk to work from home. I have a sedentary job so was looking for something to break up the monotony of sitting all day long. I went back and forth between all the vendors looking at all the features, dimensions, layout, etc... I went with this one for its versatility of being capable of making the L-shape left or right if for some reason I needed to change rooms. The controls are solid and the quality is excellent. The directions were ok, but here are a few points they left out: 1) You will get two sets of plates to align the table pieces together. The first set comes in the first box with actual wood pieces. These screws are smaller. Wait for the second box which has larger and sturdier screws to use. Not sure why there are both but hey, put them to good use. 2) The install power port instructions doesn't tell you that the power port just lays on top of the frame without need for screws. I went down HD and bought some anyway to make me feel more secure. 3) It doesn't tell you how far in to insert the crossbeams into the supporting beams. I inserted it fully then had to unscrew and loosen them to pull them apart so I could match the holes once you attach the frame to the table top. I would recommend putting the tabletop on the floor with screw holes facing up and flipping the frame onto the tabletop then try to align the tabletop on top of the frame. It was far easier to loosen the frame, match holes and screw into place this way. You will need a second person to help you flip the desk over though. All in all, very pleased with my purchase.
