I spent a week looking at all the options for standing desks, considering brands, models, features, prices, and reviews. I narrowed it down to either the FlexiSpot Pro (dual motor, three-tier legs) or this model, the EN1 (single motor, two-tier legs). The fact that there were many reviews from people perfectly happy with the EN1 at about $100 less than the Pro, I placed my order. I couldn't be more pleased with my decision. Shipping - I was prepared for receiving the two packages on separate days, but lucked out that they both arrived together within 2 days of ordering. The box for the desktop was torn, but the packaging on the inside (1cm dense foam and reinforced corners) protected it well. Both the desktop and the legs were supported by plenty of dense foam, and there wasn't a scratch anywhere. Quality of Materials - The desktop has a nice, smooth laminate/melamine finish. The corners are rounded, which my hips appreciate, and the edges are beveled. The pre-drilled holes are clean and provide options for installing the control on either right or left side. The legs, feet, and horizontal support bars are very heavy and nicely finished. The holes on the metal pieces are clean-cut with smooth edges. One thing that impressed me was the rubber pads (washers?) on key spots where the base attached to the desktop, providing an extra point of cushioning and stability. For those who are concerned about the description indicating the country of origin for this product is China (as indicated in the product information above), the packaging for the product I received actually says "made in Vietnam." Performance and Stability - Compared with my husband's more expensive Autonomous desk, the FlexiSpot EN1 transitions smoothly, quietly, and quickly. Regarding stability, I find the desk to be extremely solid, even in the higher-standing positions. My monitors have a slight amount of shake when I type, but that's only because they're freestanding on the cheap plastic frames they came with. I have no doubt that if I attached my monitors to a quality monitor arm, I wouldn't have any shaking. And for what it's worth, my husband's Autonomous desk has the same amount of minute vibration as my FlexiSpot EN1. If you really want to avoid any shake at all, go with FlexiSpot's newer four-legged "Odin" model. Assembly - you've probably seen multiple reviews complaining about the lack of good assembly instructions. I'm a 66-year-old female and assembled this desk in about an hour and a half, by myself with absolutely no difficulty. I only asked for help to turn the desk upright. Honestly, if you've ever put together something from Ikea, you'll have no problem. The key is to be methodical and don't rush. Check off each item on the list as you unpack it. Pay close attention to the position of the piece you're assembling as compared to the picture. The materials are clearly labeled, and I thought the assembly went very smoothly. Yes, there are 4 holes that are not pre-drilled (2 for securing the horizontal support bar to the desktop and 2 to attach the control panel to the top), but with a little pressure, you'll easily be able to drive the screws in with just a phillips head screwdriver. Once assembled according to the instructions, the desk required absolutely no leveling or adjustments. Cable Management - The FlexiSpot EN1 has a shelf to support the desk power box, and that's it. They do include a few sticky-back cable clips, but I wanted something more sturdy. I got the HOMEPROTEK Under Desk Cable Management Tray and some Alex Tech Cord mesh tubing (both from Amazon), and I was able to organize all the cords for my PC, two monitors, speakers, and tablet charging cable.

My only regrets are choosing the black top, and the 48*24 size top. Otherwise this is a solid purchase. I would go for the 55*28 since I have room and a color other than black (or white) to hide the sweat/oil that inevitably gets on the desk while building and to hide the dust accumulation. This came in two packages, the legs arrived first. The table top arrived a day or two after. You can send an inquiry to the seller and they can tell you when the other part is coming. This does not come with hooks on the side so there no headphone or wire holders, but there is a small 1" opening that seems like a Z hook could fit. But it would be hard getting it in after assembling. There is more wiggle when you bump into it or give a test push when the table is raised than when it's lower. The 48*24 top does not fit a screw in keyboard tray due to the motor bar. It does work with pretty much any clamp keyboard tray since the top is about 1" thick. Assembly might require another person if you are unable to lift the legs + top if you follow the instructions. Take your time, go slow and follow the instructions so you don't need to unscrew. I am ashamed to say I had to unscrew a couple of times as a beginner project. Lowest height setting shows 28.9" so you either need to raise your chair or get a keyboard tray for ergonomics and table space, if you're short.

Received the EN1 desk in two boxes. The packaging was very impressive. Not a blemish or scuff to be found. I suggest following the instructions exactly including the orientation of the product when assembling. The center beam does not need to be tightened too much so that it can be spread during the attachment of the frame to the underside of the table. The two center screws do not have holes, but firm pressure on the screws worked nicely. Very impressed with the quality, low motor noise, speed, ease of programming. I added a cable holder and a hook for my headphones.

This table was perfect and a hit for my son who is disabled. He can control the height of this table from sit to stand and his electric wheelchair can fit under it nicely while gaming. Additionally when his electric wheelchair’s is in standing position he can raise the table up to meet his needs while gaming when he is standing. Sturdy and design is ideal for wheelchair users.

The bamboo top is smooth and the curved edge looks wonderful. It is a nice feature that allows you to scoot up to the desk as needed. The lift and lower mechanism works well, is quiet, and has four options to set the heights you want. Assembly was not hard and the directions were clear for the most part. Parts are marked. It would be nice if the directions could add an indicator of what position the desktop should be in when assembling. If the desktop is rectangular it doesn’t matter. But with a curved edge, it does matter. Now I need to find some options for gathering cords so they don’t show under this great desk!

the 55" black en1 model with a 6 button control panel requires drilling to create new holes, I needed to make at 4 holes (2 for the control panel and 2 for the support center beam), even so after the holes were made, I find the desk to wobble, I tried to tighten all screws but the wobble doesn't go away the truth is standing desks can get very expensive, for a whole piece table top and the ease of understanding the instructions (despite the work of drilling new holes), I think the price is worth it. I do think it's easier with two people to assemble because it's so heavy, but can be done with one. makes a light noise when moving but nothing too bad, the ability to set the heights to various heights is a must, the panel also has a clear height reading which is nice, overall I would purchase again but with caution that the product is certainly among the cheaper 55" whole piece standing desks and some of the features show
