I was impressed with this desk. Now that I work from home, I need a desk like my old job had and this was half the cost and better. A few things to note though: If you are a DIYer then you shouldn't have any issues with this but you really have to know what you are doing if you want to motor on the other side and the instructions do not mention that. If you are not moving the motor, it is really easy to set up (probably a two person job though to flip it over at the end safely). If you don't like finger print smudges, stay away from this desk (or just get the frame) because it is a fingerprint magnet! I don't mind this because I have an XXL mouse pad. From a delivery standpoint it is IMPORTANT to note that it will be two separate shipments. Do not expect to get the frame and top at the same time. Mine came within a day of each other. From a customer service perspective, they handled my issues great! I had one cord that was DOA (I had to troubleshoot to determine the issue) and they were able to send my just the cord I needed which got there in under a week. (The power cord is the same as most printers so I just went without a printer for a week which is fine) My favorite thing about this desk is the customization and heights! I am 6'3 and put it almost at max height so I am happy. My old desk had presets too but this one has four which is nice and you just have to press the button once for it to change heights which makes it easy. I bought one for my wife and when I saw how great it was, I got one for myself and couldn't be happier. Now it is just a waiting game to see how long it takes a part to fail (if it ever does).     • A Few Quirks But Good Overall

I was looking for an adjustable height desk that was 40" wide or less and this was one of the few that came up in search. I liked that there are different options available in terms of color and wood effect. It was pretty easy to put together and seems sturdy. A couple of quirks that I came across: • Despite other reviewers mentioning and images showing that it's possible the have the controller on the right hand side, in the version I received the cord was too short for this even for the 40" size. • The desktop was drilled such that the controller could only be attached with one screw which makes it not the most secure, it shifts left and right a bit and will need to be manually straightened fairly often. • The controller was a bit dinged up so hopefully can get a replacement. • The power adapter sits toward the front of the desk, ideally it would be at the rear. All of the above I can live with and overall it's a good solid desk with decent warranty. ... show more

It was fairly simple to assemble, as long as you follow the instructions closely. It is a fairly heavy desk, which adds to the sense of sturdiness and quality. If you haven't used an adjustable desk, you're missing out. If you work from home, or spend a substantial amount of time at your desk, you should invest in this desk, or any adjustable desk for that matter. Firstly, the desk performed precisely as described without a flaw. My issue was directly related to my own error. I don't typically write reviews because I order a ton of stuff on Amazon, but I was so impressed with this desk that I had to leave a review for anyone who was considering this item. I think what really captured my attention was how well it was packaged. The packaging was efficient and not excessive. I was worried about the box getting the corners smashed during the shipping process and the desktop getting dinged, but it was very well protected. The desk is well made, and very easy to assemble. It works perfectly, and is exactly what I have been looking for. Be aware that the desktop and the lift mechanism are shipped separately, and may arrive on different days. However the shipping was pretty quick. I also purchased the power strip shelf, and the keyboard tray, and I am perfectly happy about those as well. ... show more

I got this desk for me to work on my business in the evenings as I get leg cramping after a while of sitting for too long. I LOVE the functionality of it moving up and down. It is smooth and I love that I can set different favorites. However, the table itself is of poor quality. It came broken in two spots. I contacted the company right away, and they were diligent enough to respond quickly, and provided me with a partial refund, as it was not usable. I bought a different table top from Home Depot.
