I based my purchase off my research and what I needed also quality of the product. This desk is a great buy but not as easy to put together. There were extra screws in the packaging which drove me crazy because I kept recounting and reviewing my steps to what I missed, the crossbar that goes under the desk should have had 2 stickers where the max line was to extend the bar to but it didn’t. It was not a great time trying to figure that out. Once i figured it out and tried to “tighten” the loose internal screw it fell thru the hole into the abyss of the metal frame, awesome. Trying to figure out the adapter hanging compartment was not per instructions. The holes on the underside to attach the frame to the desktop either weren’t lined up correctly or just NOT there. I tried to call customer service and it was pointless the man on the other side of the line I could barely hear, he had a screaming kid in the background so I just hung up and tried to figure it out myself. Finally after 2.5 hours I was able to get my desk together and up and running. This is not a simple 2 person job, I have put together many of ikea furniture before and this was horrible. Overall now that I got the desk up, it’s great no issues so far. Quiet motor for adjustment and height movement. I took off a star rating for all the issues I had putting it together, otherwise would have been a 5 star. For the time and effort in my search I chose this desk for all the positive reviews, the desk top comes in 1 pieces and it’s a solid desk. Hopefully no one else goes thru all the issues I have in the future with this purchase. Good luck ! ... show more

    • Sturdy and Stylish Budget Option!

Overall, I am happy with my desk! I have the 55 x 28 maple top with white legs. It's a great size if you have multiple monitors or just like a little more elbow room on your desk. I work from home and I'm still in school, so it's a great price point for me and has made my procrastination and back/knee pain decrease substantially lol (your hamstrings will thank you). While it is a bit too high for me at the lowest setting - about 29 inches - I don't mind it too much since I have a dog and he loves to lay under it while I work. The table top is nice and sturdy. Not too thin and not too thick. Perfect for most clamp-on monitor arms and other clamp-on accessories. While my dream desk is an oak Ergonofis, this is the best thing I could find that met my needs and had a similar aesthetic. Hope this was helpful! Will add updates in a few months once I'm settled into my next place and see if I'm still happy with it then. PROS: - ROUNDED CORNERS Y'ALL! - more than enough size for laptop + monitor + nintendo switch dock + keyboard + mouse + plants/decor - great quality for the price - nice and heavy so it feels like a quality product - easy assembly (just read the instructions people) - quick ship time - plenty of size and wood options - can always switch out legs or table top if desired CONS: - table is still too tall for me (5'2) - it weights over 100 lbs all together so don't try to lift the whole thing by yourself if it's bigger than 40 inches.     • This table is everything it claims to be, and more. Very Pleased!

I'll start with the packaging. It's as well engineered as the table itself, with custom-cut styrofoam blocks keeping all the parts well protected inside a very heavy-duty shipping box. The instructions are well written and helpful. The table is very well engineered and built with heavy duty, sturdy parts. It's mostly pre-assembled: you really just add the vertical columns and the feet, and some small accessories. For convenience, you assemble it upside-down, and flip it over to its upright position when done. Plug it in, press the buttons, and the table rises smoothly and almost silently. I worked at it today, standing, for several hours (my physical therapist told me to get a standing desk. She doesn't want me sitting for too long), and it felt very comfortable and efficient--more than I had imagined! ... show more

I am so happy with this purchase. I did a lot of research online to find a good, sturdy standing desk that would last a long time. I've just had it for about a week, but I can already say it's a lot sturdier than any other desk I've owned. I found this one recommended in an article, and the reviews confirmed that I would want to try this one. I have 2 screens and 2 laptops that I need to fit on my desk, so I purchased the 60x24 desktop. It has plenty of room for all of that and whatever else I need to have near me. When I lift the desk, nothing falls down and even if our 2 cats jump up on the desk, I don't have to worry about it going anywhere. The assembly was a lot easier than I expected and I only needed minimal help from hubby! The one thing to point out is, it's probably good to wait until you have both packages before you put it together. I made the mistake to put together the stands and the transmission rods before I knew how wide the transmission rod would need to be adjusted. So I tightened the nut too much and then had trouble loosening it. I think the instructions tell you to tighten the nut, but I misunderstood that as tighten it real tight. So I would suggest not tightening it too much until the end. Overall, everything seems to work great and there don't seem to be any electrical issues with the lifting/lowering.
