Glad I purchased this it doesn’t allow the wood to rot It turns it into like a hard plastic coat. I wish I used it in the back of my house now I have to replace the wood banister. Used a gallon of white to paint over the seams of the roof of my enclosed trailer and its edges as the existing caulk had worn away. Some areas were much cleaner than others but the Flex Seal liquid adhered much the same. Permanently fixed some phantom leak spots I could never find! Will use again for several other projects needing protection and waterproofing.

I bought the gallon size. It arrived packaged very well, secured top and bottom with Styrofoam in its own box which was placed in a larger box. The lid was secured with 4 clips to keep the lid on, though I was able to remove those clips with my fingers. It is quite thick. Not like putty but more like a very thick molasses. It will pour but you'll need to spread it out. It will self-level somewhat. I applied this in full sun in the 80s, and it seemed to cure in just a few hours. There is a lot of fumes that comes off this, so excellent ventilation is needed. A smooth substrate will need to be sanded to allow it to stick well to a smooth surface. I had no problem. Directions say that it cannot be painted or accept other coverings, but from a YouTube video, Flex Paste will adhere very well to it and Flex Paste can take other coverings like paint and such. The can re-seals well, and I'm confident that it can be stored for a long time in a closed can and still be usable. This is a good product that can seal many problem areas.

Many people told me this was a great product. I've used it two or three times now and it has far exceeded the best expectations that I could have going into it. I painted some things outdoors with it last year and saved my cracked up ac housing on my RV with it. Last week I sealed the entire roof of the RV with it as well. Just to let you know how well this stuff sticks- I got some of it on my leg I think that was Sunday. It is now Friday and I've been washing that spot on my leg with soap and water for a week and it still has not come off. I recommend reading the directions well, they have a website online- and having an assortment of three or four different tools to use for application so you can find the one that spreads it in the fashion that you prefer. Don't forget to cover the can after you pour some in your container for application. It does not do well with exposure to air in the can. I doubt I will ever not have some of this stuff on hand again.

I covered my chimney with this in Sept 2022. It still looks and feels absolutely beautiful. The layer is still soft and supple but completely intact all over the brick surface. It looks stunning too.

1st off...what a great product 👌 👏!!! ****BUT**** if the can arrives dented on the top you better use ALL of it once you open it!!! I didnt mind that the top was dented very badly bc it was still closed, but I only used about half of the $120 gallon and tried to put the top back on, was unable to due to the dents! I came back to use the other half 2 days later and it was a big cylinder of hard rubber, unable to use 😒...like I said tho, great product, but use it all if its dented or do not except it...(especially with the $$$ gallon can) and flexseal took amazing care of me after finding out what had happened! what a great product, with great customer service! wish i could give it an extra star!!! thank you flexseal...
