I bought two of these for my Squier Classic Vibe 50's Stratocasters. The pickguards and back plates fit perfectly without any alterations or additional drilling into my guitars. These are definitely made for Squiers. If it doesn't fit on your guitar then this isn't the right pickguard for your guitar, it's NOT the pickguard. Do some research to see which pickguard is right for your guitar. These don't have countersunk holes at the switch or pickups so I'd recommend buying some Fender pickup screws that have a flat bottom screw head. Pickguards are solid quality and much better than the stock pickguards that come stock on a Squier. For a Classic Vibe strat, these are perfect! ... show more

The pickguard is really a nice mint color and well cut. Almost all the holes lined up with my 2000 Squire Strat. I'm not upset that the holes don't match exactly because this pickguard is designed to cover a number of different years of 8 hole Strat pickguards so I expected there might a bit of misalignment. Nothing my small round file can't fix. I'm only talking about 1-2 holes off by 1/16 or less. Otherwise for the price it can't be beat!! Once I get it mounted on my Strat, which I'm currently repainting and upgrading the PUPS, I'll post a picture of it. ... show more

Excellent buying experience and great quality product. It took my plain white pick guard from blah to a dazzling new look for my Fender Squire Stratocaster. It took a short time to replace and other than putting the volume knob a bit close to the bridge pick up (which was an easy fix by slightly lifting the vol knob a bit) it was a perfect fit for my Squier Classic Vibe series. Like other people have said, there are two layers of protective film so make sure you get both of them. The pickguard seemed to align pretty well and the full shielding eliminated almost all of the noise I was getting in my audio interface. My one gripe though was that the back panel doesn't line up all that well with the bridge. I'm probably going to have to take it off if I need to replace one or two of the strings. But I was pleasantly surprised that the white finish is slightly muted instead of a bright white. ... show more

Every screw lined up perfectly, and then I installed the volume knob. And unfortunately the volume knob rubs on the mounting screw for the bridge pick-up. So close to getting it right, so it gets returned in the morning and I’ll order an actual Fender pick-guard. And just a heads up, there are two layers of protectant film on this pick-guard. Overall quality seems nice and it was a good fit except for one screw hole near the bottom was too high up. It missed the wood entirely on my 90s Squier Affinity Strat so I will either need to get some wood filler and build some material to screw it in, or just leave it as is and glue the screw top in place. The other problem is the screw holes for the pickups and selector switch aren't sunk in, so the screws stick up about a millimeter. Functionally doesnt matter much but aesthetically its odd to have uneven screws. ... show more

I have a Fender Classic 50's strat. The holes lined up properly, but the screw holes around the pickups and 5-way switch should have been recessed like the original pickguard. The screws stuck out making the assembly look clumsy. There wasn't enough space to accommodate for the truss rod screw. I ended up using a Dremel tool to recess some screw holes and to cut space for the truss screw. Replaced the guard on a Squier Classic Vibe 50s Strat. Fit perfectly with all holes lining up except the one closest to the switch. For some reason (probably to streamline production) Fender has that hole placed in the correct position for the 11 hole guard, not the 8 hole. Easy enough to drill a new pilot hole. The fit and finish of the guard is really nice; easily as nice as the pearloid guard on my Fender American Elite P Bass. ... show more
